F1 2023 Season

Should just let them drive.

Max is obviously quite good, but can he do it while the car is flying round in the fecking sky like the cow from Twister?

A team swap like that would surely be top of RB and Alonso's wish lists.

Only thing is it would probably break promises to Ricciardo who obviously costs a lot of money himself.

Until someone gets killed these slow laps will continue to be allowed.

Ocon's fault but Alonso wasn't faultless, just before the crash Alonso turns left.

There's at least 10-15 similar close incident to these every single weekend, and yet no one cares about changing anything.

This one is a little bit different. I also think Alonso did give him space and the move left was obviously just as Ocon lost it a bit. If Ocon didn’t lose it it’d have been easy and clear. But Alonso yes could have still given more room.

Sky's take on the crash
Sky Sports F1's Martin Brundle on the Ocon and Alonso incident:

"Ocon had big oversteer. The incident came about because Ocon was having to recover his car."

Lead commentator David Croft adds:

"I'm not quite sure how you can blame Fernando for that. If Ocon is looking to give Alonso a penalty for that, I think he's looking in the right direction."

Crofty is so dumb

Save sprints by giving points down to 20 in a separate sprint championship

The only way sprints work is if it matters for the driver and constructors championships. At best you could do reverse championship grid and give the teams budget for more parts/repairs.

piastri seems to be struggling against norris on pace in last few weekends. Wonder.what thats about.

Yeah, lots of mistakes too. I think being rookie is finally showing after good first part of the seaaon.

Yeah, noticed Leclerc didn't use new softs, it's obvious that drivers don't care too much about sprint race and holding what they have for Sunday, especially Ferrari who struggles with tyres anyway.

Red Bull the fastest, but very mixed two sets of qualifying for everyone, even Perez was close to P1 at some point.

Better angle of the Alonso/Ocon crash. The video clears Alonso IMO. This is all on Ocon.

Could be another Australia but very marginal if Max was in his grid box.
