It cannot come as a shock that we did not win . Forget the Exeter are 93 places below Man Utd in the league ladder. we played a reserve/youth team.

Against a conference outfit who are 4th, won their last 4 games, have played together well, our reserve side were woefully lacking.

wes Brown. First game back back. MOM by a huge mile. If he hadn't played, we'd have lost.

tim howard. did nothing wrong today. his first 20 games last season were excellent, hasn't maintained it this term. i put carroll and howard together. don't know who is better. don't think its worth spending £10million on another tiabi to try to find the goalkeeping god we're lacking.

gerard pique. both looked okay today. pique in particular is big and commanding, he could make it long term at OT.

david jones. played well in reserves. great left foot. best of the piss poor midfield we had out today. played okay in 2nd half. a bit small, but has a footballing brain.

I'd really really love them to be good enough, but they've had ample chances, and will just not shine. we need to accept this now, and let them go to championship/1st div outfits, where they'll probably be their best player - a la danny hegginbottom, david healey, danny webber etc.
