Improvements? @Samid

Okay so I’ve settled on this.

Patricio

Rudiger Sanchez Mendy Shaw

Sane Mane Jota Richarlison

Aguero Auba

Subs: Hart Bennett Quaner £4.5

Got £1m in the bank to due Shaw > Bailly, Jota/Rich > Lingard/Mkhi in a few weeks when we’ve got a better idea about whose doing what for what team.

If 442 isn’t going well I could WC at the first International break and go back to 343.

I’ve had Zaha for 2 weeks and now just switched to Tosun. Damn. Not sure.

I'm going Tosun - he's got great support behind him on paper, and I think Zaha's numbers may go down now he's classified as a striker.

I've finished my team. Not gunna touch it again.

Ryan

Davies
TAA
Mendy

Mkhi
Salah (c)
Mane
Jota

King
Aguero
Tosun

Subs: Fabianski, Cairney, Cedric, Wan-Bissaka.

Any Everton players worth taking a punt on? At the moment it just seems like you don't know how they're going to play.

I have Walcott in my draft team at the mo.

I've toyed with the idea, and still may do it as the funds can be used to have a really strong overall starting 11.

However, it is risky business.

The more I hear these pundits say there is no way he will have a season like last season, the more I think Salah will do even better.

Nacho is a waste of time. You're better off moving him to a 4.5 striker and then upgrade one of the 4.5 defenders to 6m and play 442. 6m premium defenders will easily outscore the rubbish strikers at the same price point.

Daniels is on borrowed time. They've signed a better LB who is suspended for the first three games. Other than that it looks good.

I'd like to start playing this too. Is it easy to understand the rules etc? What are the general things I definitely must know?

Has the bonus system changed or was it always that strikers get more bonus points for scoring goals than midfielders?

I find it odd that strikers get more bonus points for scoring - I'd have thought theyd get less, midfielders more and defenders even more?

Made me change my team from midfield heavy to striker heavy - but I Want to know if that's how the bonus points work first?

You mean the system that calculates who gets 3, 2 and 1 bonus points? I imagine strikes always got more points for that system than midfielders. It takes into account things like pass completion, tackles, dribbles, which midfielders will benefit from more than strikers.

Defenders get 6 points for scoring and 4 points for a clean sheet.
Midfielders get 5 points for scoring and 1 point for a clean sheet.
Forwards get 4 points for scoring.

Defenders/midfielders have bigger sources for points so I think it's only fair that strikers are better rewarded with BPS for scoring. After all goals are their bread and butter. Besides they're not directly getting bonus points for scoring, it's points that add up in the Bonus Points System with the top three players after the game getting bonus points.

My final (yeah right) team:

Ederson
Robertson, Shaw, Mendy
Mane, Salah (C), Richarlison, Jota
Aguero, Tosun, King.

Bench: Stek (gk), Cairney, Doherty, Wan Bissaka.

Cheers guys very useful

I don't know which City midfielder to go for... With Mahrez joining, Pep's rotation is going to be more predictable than ever. I have Sane at the minute, but I'm thinking of swapping for Silva and releasing 1m for elsewhere.

I'm finding this thread more exciting than deadline day.

Thoughts on Aubameyang & B. Silva vs Aguero & Mhki for the opening few games? I fancy both Aubameyang & B. Silva to start well so I'm conflicted.

I've gone for both Bernardo and Aguero, after arsenal it's a nice run of games

Nacho scored two goals in their last game (won 2-1 v Lille), he also scored vs Valencia in the game before that (1-1). He scored in the game before that as well in a 1-2 defeat against Udinese. I’ll keep him for now :)

Good tip about Daniels, didn’t realize that. Cheers

After the charity shield game Pep singled out Bernardo as the best player on the park and said something about how it’ll be Bernardo plus ten others in the first few weeks - therefore sounds like he’s nailed initially

Join the B. Silva + Aguero train!

Was it Bernando who Pep was creaming over? Is he supposedly a nailed on starter?
Yes it was. It’s difficult to say, but he’s worth taking the chance for if he has a flying start. He will be nailed on for Arsenal at least, and we’ll see from there.

Ok I'm convinced. How does this look folks:

I may swap Bernando and Sanchez for De Bruyne and someone else if it doesn't work out.

How likely is Mkhitaryan to start for Arsenal. Has shown decent for in preseason but if Arsenal go 433 he is likely to miss out to Auba and Ozil.

Very likely but they have City and Chelsea first 2 games.

Ya that’s the fear. Great value at 7.0 if he is a regular. Might get him in after the first two
I'll do the same if anyone in my midfield is under performing.

Patricio
Rudiger VVD Mendy Shaw
B.Silva Mane Richarlison
Aguero Lacazette Morata

Subs: Hart Jota Bennett £4.5m

Morata 2.9% ownership differently against Huddersfield.

I like that team, I just haven't the bottle to leave Salah out

I've now gone

Mccarthy / fabianski

Schlupp Mendy Cedric

B. Silva Salah Son Jota

Aguero king Firminho

Hughes Bednarek Suttner

If Jota doesn't play up front I'll transfer him out and upgrade a defender an add someone like Kennedy in, think 6m defenders are generalities better than 6.5m midfielders

One of the biggest questions for me as if he starts at 7.0 he’s a steal imo.

I'm getting the itch to put Alexis back in.... But I know I shouldn't

Me too!

Any Everton players worth taking a punt on? At the moment it just seems like you don't know how they're going to play.

I have Walcott in my draft team at the mo.

Richarlison, Siggi, Tosun, Coleman? Plenty. Everton are shit though from popular opinion. I haven't watched them.

I'd like to start playing this too. Is it easy to understand the rules etc? What are the general things I definitely must know?

Very easy. Register. Pick your team from 100m. Select a captain. Go.

I think Bernardo is a good choice. Brilliant in pre-season. Cheaper that Mahrez, Sané. If he is heavily rotated you can switch to anyone from the 7.5m goodie bag (which is full of good players) .

Yeah but what are all these extra things? Wildcards etc?

Yeah but what are all these extra things? Wildcards etc?

Don't worry about them for the first few weeks, just pick your team and if it's crap after a few weeks play the wildcard, keep your bench boost etc for double weeks near the back end of the season

Yeah but what are all these extra things? Wildcards etc?

Chips. You can use Wildcard twice. The others once.
This is all in the rules if you get the app or on the web page.
But basically

Wildcard twice per season. Basically you can build a new team. Popular first use is after 5-10weeks to fix your team, or just before a double GW.
Free hit: Same as WC but just for one GW.
Triple captain, triple points from your captain instead of double.
Bench boost will give you points from all your subs, even though all your XI chosen plays.
