Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Anyone going for Mitrovic? looks good in pre season and with all this Fulham spending. Might go for Mitrovic over Zaha. Save an extra 0.5 and with Benteke playing games as the main striker in pre season Zaha might be back on wing.

Currently have a team of:

De Gea

Robertson Tarkowski Shaw

Eriksen Sane Hazard Sessegnon

Aguero Zaha Jimenez

Hamer
Traore
Kiko Femenia
Wan-Bissaka

With £0.5m left.
Struggling to balance it money-wise and don't expect too much from my bench. This stuff is really tough.

Fwiw, I heard Sessegnon has spent all of pre-season at left back. Not sure if that'd change your mind on putting him in but it's worth noting!

After many changes and lot of thinking I came up with this.

De Gea
Mendy Robertson Darmian
Mane B.Silva Richarlison Sanchez
Austin Aguero Firmino

Subs: Boruc, Wan Bissaka, Peltier, Stephens

I hate thinking too much about the goalie, so DDG is the obvious choice.
Mendy certain starter in City's defence + really nice fixtures besides Arsenal. Robertson possess attacking mentality and although I am not so sure about Liverpool clean sheets he should bring points. Darmian will do well in the first 2 matches.
Mane on penalties this year. B.Silva starter in the first matches + cheapest way in City's midfield. Richarlison thrives under Silva in Watford, expect the same in Everton + easy fixtures. Sanchez should score 2 goals the first two matches.
Austin cheap, good fixtures, penalties, scoring goals when plays. Aguero starter, penalties, easy fixtures. Firmino realtively cheap for what he offers.

Any critic is welcomed.

Doesn't he normally play wingback for them anyway?

Hazard played till the very end in World cup and most probably won't start the first match + might be a bit unsettled due to his pal Courtoa leaving the club. Don't favor Eriksen - high chance that Kane misses the first match along with many other Spurs players = lesser chance of attacking points.

Getting last minute doubts about Zaha and Bernardo Silva

I've buckled! @CassiusClaymore doubts have crept into my mind and I've come up with this team

----------------Schmeichel-----------------
---------Bellerin----Cedric----Azpi
Sanchez-Kenedy-Pedro-Sessegnon-Salah
--------Tosun------------Aubamayeng

Bench - Speroni, Mendy, Doherty, Quaner

Very nearly made it a whole week without changing the team!

----------------Foster-----------------
---------Bellerin----Cedric----Azpi
Sanchez-Kenedy-Pedro-Sessegnon-Salah
--------Tosun-- King---Lacazette

Bench - Speroni, Mendy, Doherty, Kenedy

Zaha is an obvious pick this season and has a good set of opening games compared to his main competition, Arnautovic. I think B. Silva is worth the punt, if he doesn’t perform against Arsenal I’ll switch him with Mkhi.

Gone all out in midfield

-----------Patricio---------
Mendy-Shaw-Daniels-WB
Salah-Eriksen-Mane-Sane
----Aguero------King------

stekelenburg, bednarek, gunnarson, kamara

Am I good to go?

Tempted by King or Mitrovic over Zaha. I really like Fulham’s business over the summer so think Mitrovic could be in the goals.

Anyone think West Ham is going to make it difficult for pool? I'm thinking Aguero might be a better captain.

I think Unay Emrys arsenal is more of a wildcard for City than West Ham to Liverpool.

Team as of right now, will probably change five of them prior to the deadline though:

Forster
Coleman, TAA, Shaw, Bertrand
Mane, Bernardo, Eriksen, Sanchez
Aguero, Firmino

Reasoning:
Good fixtures between Foster and Forster, the difference between an outstanding GK and a relatively good season is not that huge. DDG 172 points last season, but six keepers around 30-40 points behind him.
Everton have good fixtures, needed a Liverpool defender (might put in Lovren eventually), Shaw for United-points until he is subbed for Young, Bertrand because Soton have relatively OK fixtures
Mane instead of Salah (I know, I know) - Bernardo because I think he looks hot at the moment, will switch him for Ramsey in GW3 perhaps, Eriksen and Sanchez need no further introduction.
Aguero and Firmino up top, like 90% it seems, will swap Aguero for Kane once I know he is playing and is firing on all cylinders.

The main thing here is Sanchez, he will probably be sold to make room for other players as we go along. All of these players have nice fixtures the first five games, all should be getting lots of game time (except for Shaw).

Forster will not be starting for Southampton I believe.

I've gone both over Zaha after some thought. Deciding factor was simply that they are both proper strikers whereas Zaha isn't. Helps that they are both £0.5m cheaper mind too.

Yeah he's way down the pecking order. Also only a madman would pick 2 Southampton defensive options.

What’s your final team?

Foster, Fabianski

Mendy Robertson Shaw Wan-Bissaku (4m)

Mane, Bilva, Lucas Moura, Jota, Stephens

Aguero Auba King

2.5m ITB

I believe one of their deadline day signings (Joe Bryan, I think?) is a leftback, so that could allow Sessegnon to play further up.

I'm not playing fantasy premier league this year but I'm in a Sun Dream Team league that a mate invited me to join. I'm considering playing a few cheaper players (Jota, Sessegnon, Maddison) that are guaranteed to start and transferring early to bring the likes of De Bruyne and Hazard in. Is this a good idea or too risky? I've also taken risks on the like of David Luiz and Alvaro Morata.

Made plenty of changes and now my team is

Leno Foster
Darmian Robertson Mendy Daniel's Wan-Bissauka
Salah Mahrez Neves Richardlison Stephens
Aguero Firmino King

Yes, or right behind Callum Wilson. Wilson is cheaper, nailed on, odds favourite to score, and had more points per minute than King last season.

And yes, I have Wilson in my team :)

I might be imagining this, but does King not take pens and freekicks as well?

Yep. He's in for me 100percent. Steal at 6.5 I think.

Kepa Boruc

Bellerin Shaw Stones Van Dijk Tarkowski

Cairney Eriksen Mane De Bruyne Neves

Aguero Zaha King

May have a play around again before KO.
