Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Rejoiced at Richarlison and Neves both getting on the scoresheet but suddenly noticed Neves was on the bench for me :(

Should've put him in 11 instead of Mitrovic.

Kante, Jorginho and Neves all scoring first week after I've been banging on to my mates all summer about not putting defensive midfielders in

Same as this. I was literally telling my brother this morning how so many people had put Kante in even though hes not a 'Fantasy Football' type player along with Jorginho and Neves as you say. Truly eating my words now...

This is my team currently:

Patricio

Shaw, Lascelles, Tarkowski

Sessegnon, Cairney, Ozil, Milivojevic, De Bruyne

Aguero, Kane

Bench: Ryan, Wood, Zanka, Lovren

Want to get Neves in but not seeing which midfielder I could take out. Cairney, Neves and Milivojevic all serve the same purpose of being penalties and free kick takers. But Ozil and De Bruyne will provide assists and goals guaranteed.

Could swap out Ozil, Lovren and Wood and bring in Wan-Bissaka, Neves and Lukaku...

They are still noob choices, Neves is perhaps a legit pick but the other two aren’t if you want to do well.

Someone in my work league has all 3 to get Salah in, I said they'd never score any points  meanwhile Wan-Bissaka is my 3rd sub

Bloody casuals winning again.

I bet. I have Shaw so his goal made it semi-ok, but I was still annoyed. Block defences is something I never thought about until I seen your team, so fair play it’s definitely something to think about and almost paid off.

It is a gamble though, but I found that if I have a good gut feeling and a team has a great fixture-list, then I just jump the bandwagon and go all in. Also did a block-attack of Firmino-Mane and Salah last season when it was clear that Liverpool was goals waiting to happen - Paid off nicely - It also makes you stand out from the others that only have Salah or also have Shaw for example. I do feel its less of a gamble if they have a good fixture list though, as things will balance themselves out.

I'm considering getting both Walker and Mendy too, after Arsenal as their fixture list is just really good defensively. It looks like stable points in 5-6 rounds, but also a tad expensive.

HUD, wlv, NEW, FUL, cdf, BHA.. Big opportunity really

On 26 at the moment, hoping it will stay there as 3 pool and 3 city players to go. PVA, Zaha and Richarlison saving my ass right now.

Richarlison was the right call afterall. He bloody loves Marco Silva doesn't he?

31pts with Robertson, Mendy, Mane, Salah(c) & Aguero to go. 5 premium players still to play so should be making a reasonable start here.

35 points at the moment.

Richarlison is a very streaky player. I've just put him in my team. I reckon he's going to rack up the point over the next few months then go quiet.

40 points but only 4 left to play with Mendy, Aguero, Sane and Salah. Eriksen and King let me down.

Why were people raving about Jota, looks woeful.

Neves is the player.

Saw a lot of compilations of him before deciding, and to me he doesn't look anything special. Looks heavy on his touch, and one who could be found out in the prem.

Not impressed yet, but I guess he plays in a good attacking position.

Waiting before I take the 8 point hit to make the 3 switches I want to. Gotta see how Ozil does tomorrow. But then having a front 3 of Lukau, Aguero and Kane sounds nice.

My bench? Jimenez (6), Daniels (5), Wan-Bissaka (9) - all before bonus points. Regretting putting faith in Jota and Sessegnon. Should have gone with Neves and invested in a more expensive midfielder.

Ah well - Mane, Aguero, Salah (c), Mendy and TAA to come tomorrow!
