It was Puskas or Eusebio for me, Puskas bringing a lot of potential with his compatriots, Eusebio a top-end World Cup to back up his reputation.

To be fair to Matthäus, he's in good company, our best players seem to get frightened from the spot, Beckenbauer was just as big a cry baby when it comes to penalties, though he at least admitted it and didn't come up with a ridiculous excuse. But luckily our leftbacks have balls of steel.

I don't think Puskás has the calibre in the World Cup to warrant such a high pick, and I think it's just based on reputation. Someone others(from Hungary) as well would be a better pick, seeing as how Puskás has 4 goals in 6 World Cup matches, -----. Same with Platini, I don't think he should ever be that highly chosen.
