As you've been shown the Villa matchday thread, but even still in this thread between the pranksters there are still people genuinely putting Carrick in line ups Redthaidevil for instance.

After what happened six years ago on this very day I can't help but feel a slight trepidation. It's such an ill omen.
 
Without Carrick, this match actually worries me slightly. Rio going off early at VP suggests he and Vida will start, which is good for my nerves. Also, De Gea will start, therefore Lindegaard got the match at VP.

I predict a tense 1-1 draw. Here's my team:

De Gea

Smalling
Vidic
Rio
Evra

Fletcher
Jones
Giggs

Nani
Rooney
Young

In reality though, I'd imagine one of Park or Valencia will be in there as well. Perhaps Valencia in place of Nani or Young, or Park in place of Jones or Giggs.

That would be my ideal line up as well. Maybe Welbeck instead of Young.
 
I think Fergie will live and die by his sword, play Welbeck with Rooney, Young, Nani. Don't know who will be at Right Back, but its going to be an exciting game. Since the Caf has an Andy Mitten crush:

Smalling at RB, I'd prefer. There are no excuses not to go out there and win this game.

I'm still quite nervous. Imagine the utter shitstorm should we not qualify for the next round. Unbearable.

I can see a similar line up like our game last weekend, just with Fletch popping in. Giggs might be on the bench or play instead of Valencia
 
I expect the team to remain true to form, play well in patches, get the goal and secure passage into the next round. Where we'll get Barca or Real Madrid.

Well he was badly played out of position due to injuries to our full backs and got a roasting from the Place player..you can't say he's in shit form due to that.Played in the right formation he's fine
