FC Basel Vs Manchester United

We've gone downhill from our great start to the season even before that sorry match. It was after that we actually steadied the ship a bit, getting our defence sorted, etc.

Yes, but steadying the ship came at a cost of settling for 2-3 shots on target on average. I mean, this is one of the weakest sides we are likely to face in any CL season and they have largely looked comfortable.

"I don't want to be in the same hotel as them if they do go out"

Why not? It'll be quiet

We are in trouble. Not because we are unfortunate, but because we fail to keep a pace beyond Basel's level (except Nani). I hope that SAF is able to convey that we now need a 2. half of real Manchester United quality.

Watch him take Nani off in the second half.

So...Cleverly getting injured and our subsequent poor form, a concidence surely?

well..I certainly think that he was the midfielder we never signed during the summer. But then again...he only had a few games to prove it. Young was great for a few matches...and now, probably the realisation of what it takes to play in a united team has started to affect him

A poster said it before, but it's time for Nani in Ronaldo mode.

Let's go!

What we really need to do, is score. That would be ideal.

The results have generally been positive but there is little joy in watching United play (the last 3 months).

Really hate comments like this on here. The attitude behind it, the insinuation that we're just here to be entertained, really riles me.

We're playing OK tonight, just can't find a goal. I get the feeling that if we get one, we'll get two or three.

We need to get Welbeck on, probably for Park as we need to keep the width with Nani and Young (though Young's not playing great), and though Park is doing alright we need to change the system.

United should be leading by a couple, but thanks to the ref and poor finishing we're not. Performance wise there hasn't been much wrong and if they keep playing like this they should get a result. If we don't we only have ourselfs to blame thanks to that shocking performance against Basle at OT and for not finishing off Benifca in the last match.

Some of them would probably think that we had been beaten by Barcelona. I mean the shirt is similar and there's Shakir. supporting the opposition.

Do our wingers just not look up or are our forwards (Rooney) that static?

At least this end is less muddy.

(Unless it turns out that the other end is indeed too muddy for De Gea. :nervous:)
