Maybe we're worrying about our own play rather than Bayern's. Afterall, they arent that brilliant and their most dangerous individual player isnt playing. And one of their first choice central midfielders misses the first leg.
I think Neville might deal with Ribery better than Badstruber will deal with Nani.

i wonder does Fergie not trust Valencia in the big euro away games due to lack of experience or similar - was benched vs Milan away too.

Looking at the bayern lineup and the absentees we will never have a better chance to win in Munich. Disappointed that Valencia is rested but can't complain at our lineup.
I think it's just down to form. Park and Nani have been the best two recently so get their places. I don't think Valencia is rested at all.
Ribery didnt do much at the weekend when Bayern lost. I know Fergie rates him, but I'm sure he's aware that his form hasnt been any good since coming back from injury. So I doubt he's worried enough to cater to where he's playing. Instead we can get on the front foot. We played Ronaldo and Evra on the same wing against Messi and Zambrotta. Whats to fear here?
If it's down to form I bloody want a performance from Carrick - not been impressed with the last few games I've seen him in (I missed the Bolton match, in case he killed that one)

Valencia was a sub against Milan away as well - it worked out quite well. Him coming off the bench with his pace and strength against a tired defense can work wonders.

Got nothing to do with trusting Berba and everything to do with wanting to play more midfielders to retain possession. Unless you think we have a midfield 2 that can dominate by themselves in big matches - it isn't about trusting Berbatov
