fergies team selections

People crying out for Clev  He is wank for quite some time now. Wouldnt have changed anything. We just got a freaking average midfield, that's our problem.

As shit as he's been, it's better then playing a 39 year old winger who hasn't had a good game there for 2 years. Pretty much any actual midfielder would have been an improvement.
Darren Gibson probably would have been an improvement on Giggs today, that's how shite he is in that position.

Actually I agree he would have been a better solution than Giggs. But he certainly isnt our solution to our CM problems as of yet and I doubt he would have changed much in the actual outcome of the game.

Have to say I agree... how will we move forward (CM) when SAF keeps giving 39yr Giggys these big games....

Jones, Rooney, Kagawa and van Persie will all probably play out of their natural positions, so I don't see anything too good about that.

btw, I think team is strong enough to beat Stoke, and I think we will beat them, but I am not too happy with the lineup.

All are versatile though. Jones is in form and has height which you need at Stoke. Kagawa was never going to be simply afforded that central role in his first year....he will have to earn it. Rooney in midfield is the interesting one, we need to see a bit more of this to formulate an idea of whether it could truly work.

Good thread this. I've missed it the first time around.

Why hasn't 'Regie' caught on, instead of Frogie?

Another incoherent selection really.

Why put Rooney in midfield now, and not all season? It doesn't matter how badly Valencia plays - he plays. Nani must have given him a bottle of dodgy vino.If he's going to stick Kagawa on the wing, he might as well sell him and be done with it.

It's hard to discern any consistency - any design for the future or continuity from the past.

wow!!

I get the sentiment Will but not today. We got the 3 points. Have a pint

All due respect, when you are the manager of Manchester United playing Stoke, it's only worth mentioning if you do something idiotic and 'get it wrong'. You're supposed to get it right.
