First manager to be sacked 2021/2022 season?

Arteta is a good shout as is Bruce. Oddsmakers have it as:

Arteta 3/1
Viera 5/1
Munoz 6/1
Hassenhutl 9/1
Bruce 10/1
Unfortunately Bruce, If I was having a bet.

He’s been under the cosh so often ….eventually he’s going to run out of lives.

I actually think it could be Rafa. That’s a ticking time bomb. A couple of bad results and fans will turn on him quickly.

Arteta is the obvious one but I think Arsenal owners will be too stupid and allow it to run longer than it should.

Smart money is on Vieira. The Palace side already look relegated.

I hope Rafa stays on at least until a Merseyside derby. The Liverpool fans will have a field day at Everton's expense.

Would be great if Vieira replaces Arteta if they're both sacked as everyone expects.

Hope Vieira does well at Palace though

27th September will be when Arteta gets sacked imo. Newcastle have a fairly kind set of fixtures so Bruce should be relatively safe initially, his crunch time will be around December (they have one of the worst fixture lists i've seen in December). Viera might be in trouble, although his new signings haven't really been able to play yet.

I don't think the Arsenal owners are ambitious enough to fire Arteta for quite a while.

So it is between Vieira getting fired so CP can reinstate one of the old guard for half a season or Tuchel being found outside of Stamford Bridge with novichok in his body after a bust up with Roman after being behind 1st place by goal difference, after they've signed Haaland to replace Lukaku in the winter window.

Arteta is going to have a lot of pressure if Arsenal don't get something out of the next two games, which seems unlikely.

Surprised Lage name not in here: I don't think Wolves squad has the quality for the high line press & high pace style he likes to instill in his teams.

Viera. Arteta deserves it but Arsenal seem to love him for some reason. Must be on very low wages.

If I was a betting man I'd say Arteta, a few more performances like that and he'll be out the door. Not because the owners want him gone, but the fan pressure would be too much.

I feel like Palace won't treat Viera like they did De Boer, it seems they got Viera in as a project, they'll see 17th as a victory this season and then build on it from there

Bruce isn't going anywhere, Ashley doesn't give a shit as long as he can sell, might even prefer them to go down to help him sell, so I'm going Viera

I think Newcastle have too many decent players to go down. A front line of Saint-Maximin, Wilson and Almiron with Willock behind them means they will score goals I think. Bruce has always been ok at setting up a defence so they'll do ok I reckon.

My guess would be Lage or Xisco. Ok that was a great opening day for Watford and Emmanuel Dennis looks a good striker, but historically they're terrible for sacking coaches mid season and Watford won't be winning every game.

Strange to me that Hassenhutl is so high when the reason for their predicted downturn is "they sold a lot of players".

Think he's been good for them and doubt they would be able to get in anyone better.

Viera. Palace were a disgrace against Chelsea. So lethargic.

Watford are back aren’t they? Whoever their manager is will always be a good shout.

I keep hearing this and tbf first half we were pretty bad but people forget we got humped 4-0 there last season (to Lampard’s Chelsea not Tuchel’s), and that performance was objectively worse than Saturday’s where we at least improved in the second half. We were also without Andersen, Milijovejic, Gallagher, Olise, Benteke and of course Eze at the start of the game. That is 6 of the first 11 missing, what other teams at our level are going to Stamford Bridge and not getting totally outclassed in those circumstances?

We have a tough start playing 6 of last season’s top 8 next, so Vieira will get until at least December IMO. With that in mind I’m going for Arteta even if Vieira does do badly.

IMO Arteta will take the long walk within days if not hours.

Still too early to say anything on Vieira, we have only seen them in one match and that was Chelsea away.

For me the side looked completely clueless. Even relegation fodder can string a couple of plays together even if it's against Chelsea. At the very least, the standard english tactics of hoofing it long + hoping for a knock down / playing it down the channel and hold up + cross creates a couple of dangerous moments in a game. We didn't even see that in the game (esp in the first half).

All I saw was repeatedly players trying to dribble through the entire Chelsea backline and giving it away.

I think we'll see a repeat of Gary Neville at Valencia and he'll be off in a couple of months.

What no Ole? My god it’s all gone quiet

GOD is supporting Ole and is a machchistic United fans. That is why we have so much suffering in the world that few cares about as much as football.
Although we are the red devils so give him credit haha.
