Ermmm don’t get me wrong if they didn’t sack Frank he probably still could have achieved top 4. They are only 5 points off. The season wasn’t over, but it was time for him to go anyway.

This summer I guessed Lampard to be the first manager to get the sack this season. I wasn´t quite right, as he wasn´t the first, but I felt he was set up to fail with all the signings made and the expectations following it, and never did I hear any talk about getting in the right characters or building a harmonic squad. Shows again how difficult it is to buy instant success.
Brilliant team goal in fairness. Kind of ironic when the leaks say squad harmony was in the toilet.
I just don't buy that really. Everyone on the bench and pitch was shouting for Werner to take the pen yesterday, that does not happen if the squad is split.
I can understand a few players being unhappy but people are talking about "player power"? That's kinda believable when it's Terry, Drogba and Lampard but people are saying it's Kepa, Rudiger and Kovacic. I can't see how they'd have any sort of influence over anyone at the club. Imagine Kepa moaning about getting dropped and anyone taking him seriously, it's absurd.

I don´t think I´d advice anyone to take over Celtic, tbh. Anything less than success in the CL will be considered a failure. Just winning the double got Deila sacked, and broad parts of the fan base were not particularity happy with Rodgers either. Celtic fans are hard to please - after all - they were a great European site in the 60-ties. Hard to forget.

Clubs really need more patience. I like Lampard and his demeanor and believe he‘ll be a very good manager.
Gave himself too much to do given the transition of the squad, key players in the previous 11 frozen out in favour of those who were native to the league / new environment etc. Think he'll be a good manager depending on his next move, he should join a semi competitive league and begin to build his experience.

Lampard v Gerrard would be a great battle for a season or two. Give them both extra incentive to improve too.

For most of this season, the great British media have tried their best to get Ole sacked and to keep their boy Frank in a job. Nothing against Lampard, but it's good to see strong owners making their own decisions and not pandering to the whims of the media.

No, that would have been giving in to media pressure, when Ole was in the early stages of a much needed major team re-build and cultural re-boot at United.

It's Chelsea's loss I think. He would've got the results if given time. Although some of his big-money signings have been quite poor.

He knew what he was getting into and should have expected it. Conviniently ignoring the club he supposedly supports? Loads wanted Ole sacked last season. That does not mean it was the right call
