French League - 'Ligue 1' 2016/17 | AS Monaco Champions!

Remember when Rafael was going to be the best right back in the world?....
I'm not sure about us labelling him as the "best right back in the world" but we did have high hopes for him. Along with de Gea, Carrick and RvP he was one of our best players in our last league title win so the praise was somewhat justified.

Bastia vs PSG about to start

Monaco vs Guingamp starts in 30 minutes, Falcao… wait for it…. out for at least 4 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Mbappe taken to hospital with injury apparently

Well, this has been shit. Bad pitch doesn't help but Ben Arfa, Lucas, Pastore haven't been inspiring.

Bastia "supporters" have been throwing in sticks on the pitch all game. One just hit Lucas in the head. FFS.

Yeah, a few punches were thrown between a couple of Bastia fans, too. I think Pastore is the only one who's been decent from that PSG attack. At least he's active and gets on the ball constantly. The end product hasn't been good though.

Think Di Maria and the fullbacks have been ok. Nothing more than that.

Good run by Jesé (Di Maria with the pass), goal Kurzawa. Voila.

Hate it that keepers get free kicks for basically the opponent jumping straight upwards and the keeper being all over the place and fumbling with the ball.

Good start for Lyon. I hope they are able to give PSG a bit of challenge this season and have a much better effort in the CL.

I like the looks of Tolisso he is a multi functional player who can excel in midfield and RB plus he can chip in the occasional goal.

Nkoulou what an overrated player simply because... he played for Marseille.

I won't be surprised if he joined Morel - another former Marseille player - on the bench by the end of the season.

Up!

Dijon (promoted club) 4-2 Lyon

Cavani scores to pull a goal back, currently Monaco 2-1 PSG.

Why was Kimpembe playing for PSG instead of Marquinhos yesterday?

I couldn't watch the game but a good sign for the league that Monaco have beaten PSG.

Because it looks like Lacazette is out with a knee injury for at least 3 months :(
Why was Kimpembe playing for PSG instead of Marquinhos yesterday?
Because Kimpembe has played well so far this season and Marquinhos is only back in Paris since Wednesday.

Good news for the future if Marseille has a new shareholder.
