-------VDS
-Neville--Rio--Evans--Fabio/O'shea
-Park--Fletcher--Scholes--Ronaldo
------------Rooney

I think side should do the job, hopefully Evans brings in some stability and Evra needs a kick up the arse

After the 4-0 in the Cup i can see this been a tough game.

We won easy a week ago and now watch us struggle there this time especially now that teams know we are wounded.

Tevez should start this game ´cause

1. He played magnificent game just a week ago at Craven Cottage
2. He needs a positive display after liverpool..

a repeat of 4-0 again would be nice, badly needed.............

This game can't come soon enough.

MASSIVE game. Lose or draw and it's going to be a very uncomfortable back end of the season.

bad feeling fulham will be out for revenge................:nervous:

Winning streak from this game till the last game of the season. Galvanized is an understatement to what Fergie will do to the players.

Come on United, we're on top, let's stay there.

There are some unrealistic predictions in that thread, it will be a difficult game IMO.

Starting Fletch next week strikes me as closing the stable door after the horse has bolted but we are we are eh. And i can't say i foresaw the midfield performing to the standard that it did.

As for Fulham, 0-1, 1-1 or something ridiculous i reckon. lol

VDS

O'Shea
Rio
Evans
Evra

Ronaldo
Carrick
Fletcher
Park

Rooney
Berba

Foster; Neville, Fabio; Giggs, Scholes, Anderson; Tevez

We'll batter em' 3-0 ;)

I think Evra needs a break. VDS could sit out one match. Fletcher needs to play, he is underused. Carrick needs a break. Bring back in Berbatov for this match, it would suit him. I would play:

B.Foster

J.O'Shea R.Ferdinand J.Evans Fabio

C.Ronaldo D.Fletcher R.Giggs Ji-Sung Park

D.Berbatov W.Rooney

Subs:
Edwin Van Der Sar
Patrice Evra
Michael Carrick
Anderson
Nani
Paul Scholes
Carlos Tevez

Surprised there's a few people that have Foster in their team, it will clearly be VDS.

It will be a tough game this one, nip and tuck all the way and it won't be a similar performance from Fulham that they gave in the cup.

Good line-up, don't know about Evra though, but probably you're right.

I have a bad feeling about this... I don't know why, but the result yesterday totally killed all my confidence for now, even though we're still four points ahead of our rivals. Let's just hope our players don't feel the same at all. Fulham will make it difficult for us, the FA Cup game may have been easy, but we scored early then and easily killed them on the counter. Will it happen again? Maybe, but it's more likely they'll put in a decent fight.
Liverpool play Villa on Sunday and I wouldn't be surprised to see them dropping points again.

Van der Sar
O'Shea - Ferdinand - Evans - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletcher - Nani
Rooney - Berbatov

We must win... eight wins out of ten are required to win the the league and we can't afford to drop points now.

You underestimate two things here for me, the first being the number of games that Edwin has played for us this season and the second Foster's competence.

As regards VDS, you should bear in mind that we at this time last season also began to ration his appearances, i see no reason why this wouldn't be one of those matches.

The most surprising selection by a few in thie thread so far is clearly that of Carrick.

I'm not worried about them, Rafa can now say he got the double over the league winners and will revert to type as soon as the CL games restart, dropping points left, right and centre along with his rotation.

Chelsea continues to be a concern. Playing Arsenal and Shitty at the back end of the run-in is also a concern. The worst case scenario is one where the league is lost by dropping points to that bluenose rabble.

i.e. we have to pick the points relentlessly and make that irrelevant before it's a real concern.

There is a full week between games, that's plenty rest for Edwin.

Also, don't put words into my mouth. I never questioned Foster's competence in my previous post. I just believe the goalkeeping position is 1 that you shouldn't dick about with, especially when you're looking shaky at the back.

It would be different if this game was midweek, or a midweek game followed. But it doesnt.

I'm certain VDS will start this game.

As for Carrick, yeh i'd rest him for this one. Give him some time out. I'd probably go with Fletcher and Giggs.

----------Vds----------
O'shea-Rio-Evans-Evra
--------Fletcher------
Ronaldo--Giggs--Park
---Rooney-Berbatov---

After yesterdays result I want ut to hammer them, but at this time of the season I'll take any sort of victory.

1-0 victory with Ronaldo to score.
