Fulham vs Manchester United

Is there any other sport that allows different dimensions? I know baseball can have different outfield distances but the base paths are always the same everywhere. Basketball courts, gridiron football fields and hockey rinks are always the same dimensions, at least I think they are.

International basketball has a smaller court, but it's different competitions. FIBA rules are ridiculous.

If Rooney is out, I hope we go with Hernandez or Owen up-front with Berba and not Berba on his own, that never works.

DTguardian Wayne Rooney has been ruled out of #MUFC trip to #Fulham with stomach bug, according to friend-of-Fergie Bob Cass (Mail on Sunday)

Last year I would have been worried, but Berbatov's form and Chicharito's potential make this pretty exciting. Hopefully they can do well.

Haha. All US gridiron fields are 120 yards in length, of which 100 yards is the length between goal lines. There are no other lengths allowed.

Widths are almost always the same, around 54 yards wide. Every field consists of hash marks a yard between each with yard lines every five yards.

The posts vary according to level, youth through pro, getting thinner as the level increases. There are no exceptions that allow this school to have a longer or wider field than that school, or this pro team over that pro team. ;)

Keep in mind I'm a Texan and grew up playing this sport and still follow the sport almost as feverishly as world football.

hey Tex!
45,000 for high school football games is not unusual I hear. serious stuff.

With a confident Berbatov I see no reason why it shouldnt work.

So Rooney is definitely out?

Not good, we've found it tough at the cottage last couple of seasons.

is rooney really out???just a daily mail article with no quote?

"Michael has no worries about his situation," said Ferguson.

"He is an important member of the first-team squad.

Looks like Owen is on the Bench. It's either Javitar (yes, I'm still pushing this Portmanteau) or Berbasolo.

Apparently Schwarzer is out of the game against us (though Stockdale may have kept his place anyway) due to "failing a fitness test" which translates to joining Arsenal. I doubt he would have played with future in the balance anyway.

maybe schwarzer threatend to do a gallas and score an own goal

would have been handy to have rooney back to form againt a bogey team away..

He was left out last week as well. He's got a back problem. I don't think Fulham want to sell and considering they have already rejected 2 bids I don't think he'll end up moving.

Is there a chance Rafael might start? O'Shea failed to impress last game

He didn't do anything wrong, although his sloppy passing tends to frustrate. If you can put up with that then he brings much more to the table than Rafael in a defensive sense.

Could cost us dearly, even more so away to Fulham. I guess he can't do worse than that with his passing though. However, Rafael is not as bad defensively as you made it sound, he just needs to cool his head with stupid tackles and I'm hoping he's learned his lesson after that Bayern red.

Oh no Rooney's out ... offensive crisis!!!

--------Van der Sar---------
-Brown-Vidic--J.Evans-Evra--
-Rafael-Carrick-Fletcher-Fabio
-------Smalling-O'Shea------

I'm not saying Rafael is poor defensively, I'm saying O'Shea is a very good defender. Alright he doesn't offer much going forward but he makes whatever flank he's on secure and wins an awful lot of headers.

David Stockdale should be an ample deputy, but Schwarzer is a big miss.

Think Rooney will play today, dunno why but getting a hunch, have full faith in Berbasex though.

Stewart Gardner just said he's definitely not playing.
