Fulham vs. Manchester United

A win is in the cards. Fulham just had midweek duty as well and they just don't have the depth in the squad we do.

The plot thickens after Fulham but we'll get there soon enough.

If the lads are expecting Fulham to just roll over and die like they did in the FA cup game they might be in for a rude awakening.
That said we should win this one and I'm sure they're expecting to be made to fight that bit harder for this one.

I'd like to see Rafael, Rio, Cleverley and Valencia in for Jones, Smalling, Anderson and Welbeck respectively.

Nani for Kagawa is also an option. It's so hard to keep leaving Chicharito out of the starting line-ups when he's delivering consistently. The lad must wonder what he has to do.

3-1 is my score prediction.

why the heck are we playing Everton on a Sunday..and later at that when we have the away tie on Wednesday with Madrid?

Surely we could play Everton on Saturday noon or summat.

Didn't one of the managers in the CL kick off about this a while ago? It might of been Fergie but not sure. Anyway they had a point. They were saying how in Germany the FA will reschedule your game to a better day to give you more rest for A Champions League game where as the English team had a couple days and that included travel. Does seem stupid of the FA, they want our league to get better but refuse to budge to help teams out.

Team should be....

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Carrick
CM: Cleverley
LM: Kagawa

CF: Rooney
CF: RVP

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Smalling, Giggs, Valencia, Welbeck, Hernandez

Yep, perfect, and I think Fergie's selection won't be far off that either. But I reckon we'll see Giggs back amongst the starters, probably for Kagawa. Which is a shame, because he was one of the few who maintained a good first half performance into that shower of shite second half.

Back on public demand! :devil::devil:

I expect to see the Rio-Vidic center back pairing favored in defense. I hope Nani gets included in the starting lineup for this match. Cleverley should be back in central midfield replacing Anderson who had quite a disappointing performance yesterday. I’d like to see a more focused Carrick for Saturday’s game; he was uncharacteristically casual and error prone yesterday.

Overall, I expect to see a strong starting lineup for this game, considering that we may potentially rest players in the following match against Everton as part of our preparation for the upcoming Champions league fixture against Real Madrid to be played at the Bernabéu. Hopefully, the players can put last night’s dismal second half display behind them and show an invigorated effort against Fulham.

Looks about right to me. I really, really want to see Nani open up Fulham's back line like a Norwegian fishmonger opens up a salmon. Do that and we're suddenly unfukkingstoppable.

The XI above -- thanks gamma1! -- looks to me like our strongest starting XI (though Giggs can make a strong case for inclusion over Kagawa) and it's about the right time to try this out before we march into El Bernabeau.

Not sure what to call it: 4-2-3-1 maybe. Giggsy must start. attacking fullbacks.Central midfielders drop deep. Let front 4 wreak havoc. Think we'll win 1-3 VAn Persie hattrick

Fulham will win. United always get complacent when we have a comfortable lead in the table, and Fulham will capitalize.

Fulham 2-0 United

Real have asked to move the El Classico a day before according to Marca.

We'll be fortunate if Nani can open up a tin of salmon at the moment.

Nani played that beautiful cross for van Persie against Southampton.
He's on FIRE!!!
Fulham at home are decent.. and they'll have some confidence back.

Good thing is we play before City. A win and we could go 10 ahead with them playing Liverpool... that match can be tricky.

From @castrolfootball:

Manchester United are currently on the longest unbeaten league run in Europe's top 5 leagues (12 games) #MUFC

Lets hope we extend it :)

Berbs and Sidwell are out of the game according to Martin Jol.

This is bang on.

Nani, Rooney, Kagawa and RVP all on the pitch at the same time, is simply mouth watering.

After watching how poor they were at OT (in the FA Cup) I immediately had this down as an ideal fixture to keep the distance between us n City. Then I watched them at home in their next match and they're a totally different beast at home. I'm now looking at this as a proper banana skin. We need to be on our metal. Must work hard, must win

Correct assuming Kagawa isnt all jittery like he was against them at OT. I think he was trying too hard to impress, and pressured himself into some basic mistakes. Hopefully he'll be more like his normal self (assuming he plays)

As usual these days, this is the right one. I actually thought we were pretty good in the first half agains So'ton, except for Anderson. I said at half time that if Fergie subbed him straight off for Cleverley we'd capitalise on our dominance, but that if he didn't shit would start to fall apart. Just sayin'.

I'd want Kagawa to be encouraged to come as central as he liked, though. With Evra very much back on form this season, and Cleverley looking very comfortable pushing into wider areas when necessary, they easily provide enough width on that side. And with that accounted for, Kagawa's so much more comfortable and dangerous central.

Ideally, you want him and Rooney playing almost the same position.

There is no excuse if we don't beat this Fulham-team with Sidwell, Diarra, Richardson, Berbatov and Frei all out

DDG
Rafael, Rio, Vida, Evra
Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani
Rooney, RVP

Let Rooney be a lot more involved with RVP and having the option of a proper winger to ping the ball out to. Going forward we'll be very good and that defense, CM should be able to more than cope with anything Fulham can throw at us.

That is of course unless:
Nani forgets he's actually a damn good winger
Rooney cant trap a ball to save his life
Kagawa gets muscled out of it
And RVP implodes under the weight of his own left foot helping to bring down the world economy

To me Ando didnt even look that interested at times, very lax performance from him and he had been doing fairly well with his chances of late.

Berbatov is their best player and out for up to 2 weeks, so that's only going to help.

No complacency, and no red cards, and hopefully we do the business.Fulham haven't been great recently, and along with West Ham ahve to be dark horses to get sucked into the dog fight at the bottom.
