Welbeck has been awesome. Can't believe Powel is only 18. Going to be a hell of a player.
 
Powell have looked good, other than that weve been terrible. Those passing stats sums up the half very well. No one in the attack with the ability to retain the ball. Cleverley has looked decent enough, what were his passing stats?
 
Melo's a twat. How has he not gotten a booking? I wouldn't complain if one of ours got sent off for the first two of those challenges.

What are the ref playing at? They've gotten away with murder, and he doesn't seem to be overly flustered by them sabotaging our counter attacks while Rafael got in the book with his first foul(admittedly a clear yellow).

I think we've been a bit sloppy personally. Solid at the back though, which happens when not deploying a giant hole as our central midfield. Surprise, surprise.

Scholes-Giggs to start in CM at the weekend then.

Gala have been pressing like a bunch of madmen and we look like we have been trying to hit the forwards long. I do feel that we have been trying too many Hollywood balls though, Powell especially seems to have watched Stevie G quite a lot when he was growing up.

All things considered: it was a decent half. Gala will tire in the second and we didn't concede, we can go on and win from here. I just hope that SAF leaves Powell on.

So my eyes didn't deceive me. There was one moment out on the left touchline when Clev got the ball and reversed it in one touch to Powell with Melo stuck to his back like a shirt and I thought "Yeah..."

In context I don't think that we were too bad. Gala were running around like maniacs. I do feel that we were looking for a defence splitting pass too often though. I expect us to be more composed in the second half. Gala can't keep up that pace.
 
This midfield's looking likely for the big matches as predicted. I actually think Fletcher suits Ando and Cleverley more than Carrick. His passing has just that bit more zip and ambition about it.
 
Has gone under the radar but Buttman has done reasonably well.

Edit: Also, is it me or Ando's passes have been a bit too strong at times.
 
Wellbeck has surprised me today, because I don´t think he has done specially well lately.He was shite in the last game he played, but today he has done pretty well so far.
 
Fletcher's looking better tonight. He's looked miles off the pace in the other matches he's played, now he's only slightly off the pace and his passing has been better.

Still a bit shy defensively, and still takes too many touches at times. But promising signs.
 
The Shakhtar striker probably didn't realize what was going on. He saw the ball, he saw space, he went for it.
 
The ref is gonna ask Melo if he can blow for the 2nd half now.

Stats arent everything. Our average age and taking the venue into account are more important factors
