I think Julio Cesar was to blame. He was virtually asleep and just stood there. The first one was laughable, he could've easily saved it if he'd made any effort.
I think Rooney would have stayed if we made a big name signing like Bale this summer. In seasons past we would be excited about snapping him up. I think Man City will definitely be looking to make a bid for this kid next summer. If Fergie can get Rodwell and Bale then the Rooney stuff will be quickly forgotten!
Imagin if city get bale?

Bale is class. He has just anounced himself on the world stage.
Best attacking left back in the world.

you mean his three goals![]()
Straight swap for Rooney, seriously. (if Spurs match Rooneys ambition of course)
I'd love to see Bale at United. He's no left-back though - he's a left-sided midfielder to me.
I swear to god he scored a goal last season and if you didn't know who you were watching and squinted your eyes a touch, you would have said you'd just been watching Ronaldo.
This is the type of player we should be buying, imo.
I dunno where it leaves us as regards the Valencia/Nani situation though.
I will carry the fee from Manchester to London a quid at a time to get him.
Yeah and when you're finished, he would have died from old age

He's a cracking player but let's face it, it was shitty Italian defending tonight. He ran from halfway for the first without a single tackle going in. He's a very good finisher though definitely way above sp*rs quality.
Would he really? Because he was being serious. He would literally carry the fee from Manchester to London, one pound at a time.
It's about the feeling, not literally doing it! Kinda like a love song. Completely impractical and ridiculous, but it conveys a feeling.
