Bale doesn't seem like a player Madrid fans would love. I'd expect them to warm much more to the technicians like Gotze and Hazard than Bale.

Not surprising, Giggs' body of work as a whole clearly brilliant, and something Bale can only hope to achieve half of.....but on a individual basis, is it really surprising that some are seeing him in the past 18 months as superior to any 18 month span Giggs has had?

He just doesn't have that impressive of a skillset in my opinion. He had a great season, but can he keep it up? My money is on him being a one hit wonder.

I agree, it's not a crazy argument. For me, watching our international games for the past 20 years or so, as far as the Welsh national team goes Bale has already done more than Giggs did in his whole career, and Giggs had better players to play with too. When it comes to playing for Wales, Bale has already been better than Giggs ever was.

I can see where you're coming from but I think you then have to throw in other considerations such as the fact that Bale is playing as a striker atm not as a left winger. As a left winger is output is god but it's not amazing. I've no doubt that Giggs in his prime playing up front could have hit 20 goals a season. Other thing to consider is that Bale pretty much now has Spurs built around him, that was/is the special thing about the likes of Scholes and Giggs, the side has never purely been built around them but they've still been able to shine year after year.
But yeah I can see where the argument is but like I said for me Bale is now really excelling playing up front and as a striker and he's got a lot more to do in that role before he can be up there with the strikers Britain has had.

I think Real Madrid will be wasting money if they go for Bale. Ronaldo is already a much better version of Bale and having yet another counter-attacker is not what Real needs right now. Their problem is slicing through low defenses which is a part of the game where Ronaldo/Bale just aren't as good.
All other teams who can afford him(Bayern, PSG, City, Chelsea, Barcelona) would all fit him perfectly however and they would improve a lot.

Madrid need a striker and a rightback who knows how to play like one. Bale doesn't solve any of their problems.
Agree with other posters that it doesn't make sense for Real to go for Bale. Unless if they sell Ronaldo, and considering that Bale is the next best player of that type it could be good for them.

I doubt he will go to Bayern. They have just spent almost 40 on Goetze, maybe another 20 on Lewandowski. Which would leave their front 4 options jam packed. Aswell as short of cash, contrary to recent opinion, they do actually run it well and spending that much would not be running it well.
