German Football 21/22 | Gladbach sign Farke

Adi Hütter might be the best coach against Bayern in a long time I think...
Last three seasons:
This season already had a 1-1 in the league, today this result.
20/21 (with Frankfurt) won at home 2-1, lost away 0-5
19/20 won 5-1 (that game got Kovac fired), lost 2-5 away in the league and 1-2 in the cup semifinal.

W3 D1 L3 is quite good when you only coach midtable clubs.

Only watching on conference, keep reading the score could be even higher?
Gladbach is better, yes. Bayern not really able to create something, Gladbach do not finish every counter attack well.

"If you've got shit stuck on your foot, you've got shit stuck on your foot."

Meanwhile in Stuttgart, Modeste scoring twice for Cologne. I love this conference tonight

The "obrigkeithörige", subservient to authority, character of the German people is pure on display in the German state TV football commentators' ever so keen adulation of our referees' performances.

I was checking the latest scores on an app on my phone, looked at Bayern being 5-0 down & thought, well they must've rested a lot of their regular starters, so clicked line-up & was mega surprised to see it was a full strength team for Bayern, which makes this defeat even more startling.

Not just startling, but bewildering, gobsmacking, flabbergasting.

Second year in a row where Bayern loses in the second round of the DFB Pokal...

At least this match will end this nonsense going through the press that Bayern doesn't need a coach and Nagelsmann can just manage the team from his kitchen at home.

Anyway, congrats to Gladbach, what a performance.

I don't begrudge it to Hütter who really is an amazing coach and who hasn't had the best of starts.

We didn't get destroyed tonight because Nagelsmann isn't on the bench, but because the team forgot that they can't brush past every opponent just because Barca and Leverkusen let us.
If we don't beat them on intensity, every decent team can beat us, and a brave one can hurt us badly.

It was like we were surprised by their relentlessness from minute one, I didn't expect that stupor to last for the full match though.

So that leaves us with:

Bundesliga: Dortmund, Leipzig, Gladbach, Freiburg, Union, Mainz, Hoffenheim, Köln, Hertha, Bochum
2. Liga: St. Pauli, HSV, Hannover, Karlsruhe, Regensburg/Rostock
3. Liga: 1860 München

Would be nice for everyone else if Dortmund and Leipzig were to face off soon.

As i wrote in a previous post it looked like somebody pulled the plug and Bayern played without any energy.
I thought at least after halftime they will come out running and fighting but nothing. Same phlegmatic performance as in the first half. Shocking performance.
