Doubt the wages are true, but arguably the best player in the league as well as arguably the best striker in the world, he's coming in as any clubs highest paid player.
I would have no qualms in this being a £200million fee and wages level transfer over a 4 year contract, with minimal expectations for recouping anything by way of sell on fees.
And it would be fantastic value.

Well done on missing the point. I’m actually referring to the team we’re potentially building. You can’t be the brightest if you think we’re planning on going into the season without buying a striker.
That's not the issue. We need to sell players and the Glazers need to take advantage of the provision in the rules that allows them to invest in the club a certain amount that'll be allowable as losses. They haven't ever done that so now would be the great time to do it as a parting gift.

Any move for Kane would be later in the window with him telling spurs he only wants to join us and won’t sign a contract ala Mount.
Hojlund makes much more sense coming in alongside someone like Kane. In fact it would demonstrate the first hit of forward thinking the club has done since Fergie. You get the ready made, instant next level world class striker and a young prospect who can develop properly for the next few years ready to step up when the time comes.
Rather tham getting the prospect and expecting them to immediately step up.
Please don’t enter into a fecking saga with this. Either get serious about Kane ASAP, or wrap up the Hojlund deal. Fiddling around and losing our current top target while not fully committing to quickly getting Kane done would be a huge mistake.

Bayern won’t pay him that much. We would probably give him around 375/400 k plus a nice sign-on fee. Bayern won’t pay more than that either.

Given they frequently feck up with currencies, I'd be inclined to believe we are talking about €30M - or £480k-ish. He would be the highest paid player in the league, but not on silly money.
Would Bayern even offer that? They are notoriously structured in how they pay fees and salaries

Doubt it. They pay some €22M for Mane. I would imagine they would stretch to €24-25M for Kane.

I've never suggested that the club aren't planning on a buying a striker. We're obviously going to buy a striker. We're probably just going to buy the wrong one.
Kane is THE perfect #9 for ETH's system. He would transform our club. And the worries about him only having a couple more good seasons are rubbish. He's not a player who relies on speed to do what he does best so I don't imagine his productivity will fall off a cliff like we've seen with players like Ronaldo. Kane will be scoring goals into his mid-30s.
If he comes to United he will obliterate Shearer's record. He could genuinely reach 300 EPL goals.
I hope Ten Hag pushes for him, he's on the top of his list and if we bid Kane can help us toward acquiring him.

Wouldn't rule out Kane to us in the final week of the window regardless of the Hojlund signing, I suspect deep down he really fancies us over a move to the Bundesliga and if Ten Hag can shift a few out of the door which he is currently doing then I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us going all out for him, in all honesty we do need two strikers, and the lad from Atlanta along with Kane would be outstanding additions and would genuinely set us up for a title tilt.
How? We will look to sell all of those players this window. Martial, Bailly, Elanga and Henderson are all rumoured to be set to leave. I know it’s a really odd concept selling players but other clubs seem to do it.

Just a hypothesis - Let's say Kane's max pace is 20mph now and as he ages it becomes 15mph.
Another striker (striker x) who "relies on pace" has a max pace of 25mph but as they decline it decreases to 20mph.
I recognise there are caveats and intricacies to that, but at what point is it essential that Kane's top speed is 20, 19, 18? To the extent of actually he relies on his pace to maintain his world class all round game. Opposed to striker X.
A lot of scenarios I suspect. But interested in hearing opinions of people more well versed than myself.

But I'm much more confident that we can get Hojlund for £60m if we fully go in for him - and that he'll be happy to come here.
I'm not completely convinced Tottenham would accept a bid from a PL rival if they have genuine interest from the likes of Bayern - and have a slight concern that Kane might opt to leave on good terms by joining a non-PL club like Bayern if he leaves Spurs rather than a 'rival' like us.
If I was very confident of the Kane link, I'd be happy for us to go full in on that at the risk of the Hojlund deal. But I'm a little worried it may drag on in a fruitless chase and we end up missing out on Hojlund as well as Kane. So I'll be happy if we wrap up either and ensure we get one of them this summer. Ideally Kane (or both if we could somehow afford that!), but would be happy enough with either so long as we get at least one of them done.
Why the feck would Kane sign another deal at Spurs? He'd need taking away by the men in white coats.
