I think the only way we get Kane is if he puts in a transfer request and makes it clear he won't sign a new contract so it's either sell him now or get nothing for him next year

obviously the VAST majority of what is written is complete bullshit and speculation. There must be people out there who genuinely do know what he would like in an ideal world though. I think that's what keeps people on the hook, because maybe Kane has let it be known (either deliberately or through word getting around) that United is his preferred destination? I mean, it's kind of a no-brainer if he's set on staying in England and would prefer not to stay at Spurs.
Hes already made it pretty clear that hes not signing a new contract at the moment. Tottenham know the reality of their situation but they also know that there is no good decision. They have a new manager coming in who could be great. If they can keep Kane and get CL football they can perhaps persuade him to sign a new contract because he has shown that he has little ambition in the grand scheme of things.
Lose him this year, even for a large fee and they won't replace him and are almost certain to miss out on CL next year. Thats why its a tricky situation. No good options.
That's what these aggregators want you to think. The only people who know what Kane wants is Harry Kane, his brother and probably Daniel Levy.
Can you point me in the direction of the quotes or evidence for this? As it's pretty clear there must be quite a lot out there. I'm not being funny by the way, I genuinely have no idea what Kane thinks about signing a new contract but if you know something I don't please tell me.
I expected Levy to ask for even more than 100m to discourage any interest.

Hmm. Are you saying his wife doesn't know, or his parents? Are you saying that none of them could possibly have ever given away a slightest hint to anybody else? Do you know for sure that Kane has never given away anything whatsoever to one of his close mates, or at an England camp? I'd say it's far more possible that there are a lot of people out there who have a good idea of what Harry Kane would like, than it is that literally the only people in the world who know are Kane, his bro and Levy. That's not to say that anything that we've read so far is definitely true, but just that it's not all definitely false either.
Are you burying your head in the sand? He clearly wants out. You don't enter the last 12 months of your contract without any suggestion to sign a new one if you're happy at a club and wanting to stay. Spurs can't even provide him European football next season.
Releasing that we are not prepared for a drawn out transfer saga is the surest sign that we will end up in a drawn out transfer saga.
I'm asking for the proof that you guys have that this is the case. So far I've seen nothing.

He went on strike 2 years ago when trying to force through a move to City and he's been letting his contract run down since then. What makes you think he's had a change of heart since going on strike? 2 more trophyless seasons and a 4th & 8th placed finish?
I honestly have no idea if he will sign a new contract because I have no evidence either way on what he plans to do. I certainly hope he will but there is every chance he will not but there is also a chance he will sign. This is based on my own feeling and I'm glad you have conceeded that your view is also based on your own feeling. We both have a feeling on what will happen but neither us have actually a clue what is happening or what will happen. That's my point.

The closest thing to a public declaration was the 2021 summer and even then he just hid in the Caribbean.
Has he got it in him to push for it again though is the big question for me. Surely realises he has to do all the running on this if he wants us to make approach later in window.

Going on strike in an attempt to force through a transfer is enough evidence to show that he wants out. Unless he has signed a new contract since then, it would be safe to assume he still wants to leave.

It is an assumption though and that is fine as long as it is framed as such. It's the posters stating these things as a fact that is frustrating to me here. None of us know what is happening with Kane so although it is fine to have an opinion on it you can't claim something is definitely going to happen or not happen because we just don't know.

He did yes but that was then. We are now a couple of years on from that and things change. As I have said, none of us have a clue what Kane is thinking right now.

That might've been true in the past but his chances of doing that have diminished greatly. The competition in the league is higher than ever before and Kane literally just scored 30 league goals for Spurs and the best they could muster was 8th place. There's going to come a time when he becomes disillusioned and wants a realistic chance of winning elsewhere.

It makes total sense to me that he would like to keep his options open at the moment so he is under no pressure to sign a new contract right now - certainly not at the start of a transfer window. Doesn't mean he won't eventually sign a new one of course. This is probably what he is thinking but like Ive said I've no idea really.
The only thing that has changed from 2 years ago is that Spurs are a slightly worse team and Kane is 2 years older. If you think Kane has had a change of heart since then and is now happy to extend his contract and waste the rest of his career at Spurs then I'm sorry but you're deluded.

Fair enough. None of us are mind readers. However there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that he won't sign a new contract.
None of us can say for certain that everything that we've read so far is pure speculation.
It is all speculation until there is a direct quote from the player or his manager (his brother) or the club.
