Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

I'm sure you'd give him credit if he went to United and ended up trophyless.
Winning trophies is nice and everything, but what does it actually prove if the team you're moving to can win the league anyway with Choupo-Moting up front?

Knowing how deep his Spurs connection is though he could probably move to Bayern and still somehow not win a league medal.

Even if he does end up staying at Spurs, why not wait until the end of the season?

I can just see them doing it to put the speculation to bed. Ange seems to be very charismatic and I can just see Kane going for it.

Reckon we will pounch when/if Levy accepts a bid from Bayern. We will then know what his release point is ( :nervous: ) and then can give X+20% to Levy.

100m for a 30 year old whose contract is running out in a year is madness. It's more incredible that it's Bayern doing this. They really want him I guess.

its kinda irrelevant that his contract is running out to Bayern though.. no way they can get him for free as he’d likely wanna stay in the PL

when it’s 50m for any random striker these days and Kane is a legitimately brilliant option, it starts to make more sense

You’re desperate for this to happen but Levy won’t be accepting any bids at all for him. There will be no pouncing, Levy has made it more than clear he isn’t going to sell to another PL team and no one has the money to make Levy even consider letting him go.

Yeah that's the brutal reality of the situation

Nah, as soon as he accepts a bid, it's open season.

Just sit tight Harry. Plenty of teams will pay you a pretty penny next season. Take the season off, relax :)

So never then? Do you remember Bale? Maybe Modric?

When Levy finally decided to let them go, we made a bid that was way more than what Madrid was offering, he still refused to accept them.

Im not really sure what you think will happen but the scenario you’re trying to will into existence doesn’t exist.

Levy will only sell Kane abroad for 100+ million. I think Kane is going to extend his contract. Levy is banking on that for sure. That would be typically Kane.

Yeah clearly has forgotten what Levy is like

Feel like people want this to happen so bad they’ve given up on the reality of the situation.

Tottenham and Levy openly decided they weren’t going sell us or anyone another player once Berbatov and Carrick left which weakened them and strengthened us.

They see themselves as a big club now and big clubs don’t sell their best players to direct rivals.

Sky reporter just said he has confirmation that Kane will definitely not be sold to an English club.

Do not forget that "luckily". That are the points of first and second in the Bundesliga since 2008/09 (red Bayern, yellow BVB, green Wolfsburg, blue Schalke, pink Leipzig). Between 2013 and 2018 we beat the 80 points in 5 years - in the 10 years between 2012/13 and 2022 the lowest points were 77.

You'd think any player (or player's agent) signing a contract with Daniel Levy would know the score and act accordingly. I do wonder what his personal relationship with Kane is actually like.

I can't see Kane at PSG, Levy might accept but would Kane want to go there?

Maybe it's just about money but I think he would've left Spurs earlier if that's the case.

If its about prestige then winning the Uber Eats cup can't be that high on his list of priorities. PSG are a plastic club and I doubt Kane cares about being a legend there. At least at City he would have been a Premier League legend and broke the record for goals.

Maybe he has a deep love affair with Paris and is a secret Francophile.

In my opinion, Kane wants

1) Top PL club
2) Real
3) Bayern
4) Wait a year
5) stay at Spurs

I doubt any club can buy him for £85m. PSG will have to up their offer by a lot, as will Bayern.

For Kane it would be nice to see him link up with Mbappe in the CL. I think Mbappe has talked about a central striker to play off.

Bale turned us down!

I feel this will all end will him staying at spurs and opting to break shearers record over winning trophies.

Injuries happen. A serious injury near the end of next season, and he is potentially looking at tens of millions in losses.

His safest bet is either pushing for a move now, or signing with a foreign club a pre-contract in January. Waiting for the contract to expire without having a new one is a bit risky (albeit quite rewarding cause then he can easily get 30m+ in signing bonus).
Yeah, so risk of injury. He could probably insure himself against that. Still a risk though. A lot of people in his position do just play out their contracts.

And I’m really just talking about him signing a new contract at Spurs. If by playing out his current contract, the risk is that he gets an injury preventing a new Spurs contract, who cares?

As much as a twat Levy is for everyone else, for Spurs fans he must be like a knight in shining armour, at least in terms of keeping your players anyway.

Hopefully kane specifies he wants to stay in England and beat the record. Sit tight and if he won’t sell you to us then come next summer

Not really. €100m for 4 seasons is cheap as chips for a guaranteed Bundesliga goal scorer, which he will be.

Knowing that he may want to leave in two years and being able to recoup at least half of that if he wants to return to break Shearer’s record…

Exceptionally good business.

Some of the Charlie Kane comments are desperately unfunny and quite evil. But I did chortle at “Charlie Kane eats yoghurt with a fork”

Actually think it’s all being handled quite well this time. The Hot Ones interview introduces him to a US audience, he’s a huge NFL fan and will no doubt be received well if there’s a lot of American slanted content. He’s a dead cert to play there at some point I think.

Just a question of what the four years before he plays there looks like. He’ll probably do something mad like join Messi in Miami for a year and then come back to Spurs having won nothing.
