Kane should just refuse to sign a deal with anyone and just see his contract out. he'd get full choice of the world's best clubs to choose from, and ask for a big signing on fee on top of big wages, given the club will be saving a transfer fee.
Would you say the same if Kane and Bayern would win the CL in the next 3 or 4 years?Shearer has dined out on this for years. It means more to win something even if its a record in your home country. On tonight's show is Alan Shearer, Newcastle legend and Premiership top goal scorer just sounds better than here is Harry Kane winner of two Bundesliga's with Bayern. Its maybe not but in England it just means more in your local competitions. Just my view

That "topscorer since 92" record will anyway not last that long if Haaland decides to spend the majority of his career in the PL.

https://talksport.com/football/1275657/erling-haaland-dad-alfie-man-city-exit-future-transfer/Haaland has 35 PL goals - Kane has 213.
If Kane stays in the PL, he could reach a level that remains unbeaten for decades.
Haaland won’t score 35 every season. He also won’t stay in the PL in my opinion, he’ll wanna taste La Liga for sure, and once there, many don’t wanna go elsewhere for a long while.

What meaningless interview. “He could be leaving City after 2-3 years at the club but on the other hand, he might stay at City for 15 years ‘cuz he’s happy. feck knows”.
Haaland will hop clubs I think, his dad said something along those lines a year or so ago. I get the feeling he will be a Zlatan that wins everything and moves on but just a suspicion

We hope.
Will be hard to give up that £860k per week though.
Erm, I think we, ie. United, would sign him, Hojlund or not. He's a brilliant no.10 as well as a poacher, and any good manager could make him work in their system alongside both a young quick 9 And a floating 10 like Bruno. A few spotty years and bad exec management doesn't means we're not part of the 'biggest' clubs, particularly since we're beginning to provisionally look like a fully competent outfit again, starting with the manager; City have doped recent success ( in more ways than one potentially) and still have a much smaller world-wide following -almost as if the victories really were artificial and not worth investing emotionally in. Bayern are a huge club, of course, but even under peak SAF I've never seen a league where other sides rolled over and allowed their bellies to be tickled so much when it came to transfers and allowing the championship to be disproportionately dominated in that way ( the odd Dortmund or outsider push excepted), which takes some of the lustre off the winning: even in France teams seem to put up more of a fight to keep players or not allow them to be stockpiled, as well as challenging PSG more.I get what you are saying but who guarantees him, that next year the biggest clubs will line up for him?
What if Bayern and PSG decide to get Vlahovic, Kolo Muani or Osimhen instead?
City will still have Haaland, Barca Lewandowski and Real probably cant afford Kane next to Mbappe.
What if he is left with options like Arsenal or Chelsea while being already 31 by then?
So Manes wages get shifted to KaneThe difference is not that big. As far as i know we have Neuer, Kimmich and maybe Müller at/a bit above 20 millions (Lewandowski and Mane were also in that bracket), players like Sane, Gnabry, Goretzka, de Ligt and now Min Jae between 15 and 20, players like Musiala, Davies, Pavard between 10 and 15.
To me it seems like a sensible and fair wage structure.
What is wrong with that in your opinion?
What big club differs much in that regard?
I dont mean to be rude and i would also still rate you as one of the biggest clubs, but if Kane wants to leave Spurs to finally win some trophies id argue that you arent a very good bet. At least as long as Pep, Haaland, de Bruyne and Rodri are at City they are the clear favourites for domestic titles.Erm, I think we, ie. United, would sign him, Hojlund or not. To win trophies sure no one beats you lot when it comes to it, it's just a matter of whether he prefers being the all time pl scorer and avoid uprooting his family or if he prefers to win a few league titles with bayern and maybe have a shot at cl.I dont mean to be rude and i would also still rate you as one of the biggest clubs, but if Kane wants to leave Spurs to finally win some trophies id argue that you arent a very good bet. What if you dont manage to get into the top 4 this season? With City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle around its certainly not guaranteed.
That's not rude at all, no one in England is a good bet to win trophies except City at the moment. The argument though is how prestigious is a Bundesliga title? If he goes to Bayern and win a CL, then fair enough, he'll have won what most footballers dream of but winning the Bundesliga title just doesn't seem like the most enticing prospect. Sure it's better than ending your career with nothing but it's the lowest hanging fruit for Harry Kane at the moment.I dont mean to be rude and i would also still rate you as one of the biggest clubs, but if Kane wants to leave Spurs to finally win some trophies id argue that you arent a very good bet. Not every team. It disrupts wage structure very badlyEvery team will pay those wages, commercially he will make you money too
I've got this horn for this in the back of my mind that I can't shift. Sell off as much as we can (McTom, Maguire etc) and bring in maybe Amrabat then make a bid and say feck it to the FFP side of things and swallow a fine in a year or so. That would be tasty compared to city with their 115 charges and Chelsea going sale agreed on anything that moves.Watch us swoop in on deadline day for Kane
Just move on, Bayern! He’s not for you!

At 30 with say 5yrs left in your top flight career, it makes sense to seek the low hanging fruitThat's not rude at all, no one in England is a good bet to win trophies except City at the moment. All fair points but I'd say the difference with Pochettino is that he just had to get that monkey off his back with the knowledge that he will have plenty more years in management somewhere else than PSG where he can truly build his legacy. He needed a title to be his starting point. Kane on the other hand, this will probably be his last major move, he is putting all his eggs on the Bayern basket. Yes he will be taunted less the coming few years but when he looks back at his career, would a trophy haul of let's say 3 Bundesliga titles and couple of DFB Pokals really fulfil his ambitions in the game? If you add to that a CL or a trophy with England, then that's a brilliant return for sure but I am not sure that's a very satisfying career otherwise for someone of his caliber. At 30 with say 5yrs left in your top flight career, it makes sense to seek the low hanging fruit
Remember how Poch was memed for not winning anything? Well he got a French league title now. Not EPL not CL but at least no one use the term trophyless when referring to Poch now.
If he wins more trophies with Chelsea will be sweet but he won't be under intense personal pressure
Almost everyone in the England squad has some form of trophy or the other except the captain and best player. Foden has like 2 dozens, same with Sterling even Grealish and Kalvin Phillips got theirs.
If I'm Kane, if it's not city then it's Bayern at this point in career. No more gambles
Any NBA watcher sees how Charles Barkley gets talked down for not winning a ring
Would you rather be remembered for winning a couple of Bundesliga titles or becoming the all time leader in premier league goals? If he stays one more year he gets a pick of host of clubs he can go to next year for free and get an even bigger signing bonus! At 30 with say 5yrs left in your top flight career, it makes sense to seek the low hanging fruit

Unless he really wants to go to Bayern - which is a great club. No point playing games and wasting a previous year of your peak at Spurs achieving little. Now if he doesn’t want to move to Bayern and prefers some other club that he’s sure will come in next year then sure. But why waste a year just for the sake of ‘options’?Kane should just refuse to sign a deal with anyone and just see his contract out. he'd get full choice of the world's best clubs to choose from, and ask for a big signing on fee on top of big wages, given the club will be saving a transfer fee.

The subject of Højlund is off‑limits until the £64m (plus £8m add-ons) transfer is official, but Ten Hag offers a glimpse of why, initially, Tottenham’s Harry Kane was the No 1 target before the club ended their pursuit. “I don’t talk about players in other clubs,” he says.
“I have to respect the club and respect the player. Especially Harry Kane, I have huge respect because he is a great striker, one of the best ever. Maybe he can be the best striker ever in the Premier League.”

The problem is other clubs he can consider in England are in different stages of rebuilds and might not win the league or CL in the next 5yrsAll fair points but I'd say the difference with Pochettino is that he just had to get that monkey off his back with the knowledge that he will have plenty more years in management somewhere else than PSG where he can truly build his legacy. Musiala is a #10 and Sancho is a winger so i should hope notThe one big problem Kane might have is with the Bundesliga’s crazy high defensive line.
Either this suits Kane as a deep lying forward by having the ability to play through balls in to inverted forwards (making him more of a creator) -
Or he himself struggles to make runs in behind the high defensive line and finish chances that are normally utelised by players with crazy pace like Sancho’s ability to beat the high Bundesliga defensive line before making simply passes for assists or finishes for Goals.
He doesn’t play like Lewandowski, Haaland, Sancho, Musiala etc
Winning the Bundesliga is hardly like winning a ring in the NBA though. At this stage Bayern could probably forfeit the first 10 games of the league season and still win it. Kane's Audi Cup win was probably more of an achievement than winning a one team league. At 30 with say 5yrs left in your top flight career, it makes sense to seek the low hanging fruit

Musiala is a #10 and Sancho is a winger so i should hope notas for the other two, it would be hard to find two world class strikers who have the exact same skillset.. What i see from Kane, he is very good at receiving the ball and maintaining control under high pressure, he is a good passer and of course he is a clinical finisher.
A player that is a permanent danger in the box is exactly what Bayern was lacking since Lewa left in my opinion. It will make life more complex for the defense,, he can be targetted with high passes, he will open up space for the other offensive players, which will create opportunities. Bayern was way more dangerous and scoring a lot more when Choupo was in form last fall filling that role, and i think everyone agrees Kane has higher quality than him. . Thats just football 101. Bayern never had much truble getting close to the box, not even against city, but most attacks faded away because in lack of a target man, Sane, Coman or Musiala only had the option to short pass or dribble.
As for the details in difference of playstyle, i trust Tuchel to find the tiny adjustment screws to make the tactics most effective for him and the team.
Winning the Bundesliga is hardly like winning a ring in the NBA though. At this stage Bayern could probably forfeit the first 10 games of the league season and still win it. Kane's Audi Cup win was probably more of an achievement than winning a one team league.
Bayern fans aren't going to think Kane's been a great signing if they win the league but fall short in Europe, not sure he's had to deal that kind of pressure in his career so far.
Beayern play a high defense liI do not know what you want with that high defensive line - especially now with Tuchel Bayern will play a less vertical game etc. than before - and the opponents that very often sat back and parked the bus against Bayern - will do that more often, too.
i see what you mean Kane preferring to play from a deeper position at Tottenham but i dont think he's too one-dimensional to work in Bayerns system. Even Lewa didnt just park at the penalty spot and wait for the balls delivered to himI don’t know man - it seems like Bayern want to buy him to play him as a target man when he is actually a deep lying forward - almost a false 9 with a traditional number 9’s goalscoring ability.
It depends what Bayern want to utelise him for - Bayern can’t use him as a player in the box & get the same Kane that was playing in Son through on goal for fun.
At the same Bayern can’t let him play his natural game where he plays quite deep almost as a false 9 against a high defensive opposition line of the Bundesliga - this may lead to goals of Gnabry or Sane; but then will he be able to get in the box much to score goals himself?
He should be fine but who knows.
