Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

Obviously it would never happen as rashford would see spurs as beneath him but if it was possible, would anyone here swap rashford for kane?
Controversial but would be unbelievable business. I can’t see Rashford ever hitting peak Kane form.

Kane would win us the league, we'd still have our issues but he'd mask them

No we wouldn't for one thing he would be injured around half the season and we need a defensive midfielder and a centre back way way way before a forward.

Rice, Sancho and Varane would make us a lot more likely to win the title than Kane

has he been injured for half this season?

Champagne problems signing Kane would be. Oh no he's injured for three weeks, oh no, how will we cope with Cavani and Greenwood?

Jesus guys, he's a top five on his position player. Honestly, who is better? Lewa? CR7? Exactly. Get him bought, get Rashford, Bruno, Mason all running off him and we'll blow shite teams away

Been injured for when it mattered as usual.

There is no way Kane is what we need to win the title. Every sane person knows where we need to strengthen to challenge for the top and it is not Harry Kane.

It would be absolute madness to waste over 100 million on him and for once I have faith that we are not that stupid and won't be looking at him

Goals cure all problems. Kane is much more likely to win us the PL than 2 defensive players and a youngster.

which was when?

Love how you've gone from half the season to when it mattered, next it'll be that he missed a big game

Whitwell confirms that we did inquire about Kane. Whether that means that we'll pursue him in the summer remains to be seen.

One of the greatest strikers of his era yet we have people scoffing at the mention of signing him in favor of the hipster flavor of the month

Praying to the footballing gods that Citeh don't end up with him because they'll either match our record and win 3 leagues on the bounce or break it with him replacing Aguero...

If he goes to City you may as well forget about the league for the next 5 or 6 years.

Thats 3 golden boots in the PL if I am not mistaken. At 27, for Spurs. He will cause carnage in his next move.

Erling Braut Haaland isn't just mere hipster flavor of the month though...

He played 35 out of 38 Premier League games this season and 49 games overall, I don’t get this whole injury-prone claim. I bet every one of your current strike force has missed more games this season.

Would rather have Sancho, DM + CB this year and Haaland next year. That's no easy feat - just an ideal world scenario.

Nevertheless, he's such a fantastic player that it would be difficult to be anything other than delighted if we signed him.

Yes he is. Another player who is doing well in BL but plays better on the left than right. If people would rather sign Sancho than Kane, god help us.

But if we're going to spend that much, 100 million plus or whatever, we should put that amount of bid to Haaland.

How so when he's been doing it since the moment he's played first team football?

Also an English youth product so the notion that he can't do it back home is out there...

Haaland would cost near a world record fee on top of signing up for another Raoila misadventure again where he'd inevitably agitate for a move to Spain in 3-4 years

We need a striker badly. Someone who can score 30 goals a season. Rashford is not it. Neither is Cavani at this stage. I really don't want us to keep loading 20 year old's who have a way to go. Specially those that play better in areas we already are overloaded in. This team needs some experience, Kane (assuming we can even get him) is the best available right now.

I'd say get Haaland but I don't think we can get him nor do I want us entertain Raiola again.

If City get him, that will mean they're pretty much Bayern Munich in the PL. For City to be so dominant the whole season virtually playing without a striker and then getting the best striker in the PL would mean its not going to be much of a competition for the next few years.

Dont think thats happened before. Top goalscorer and top assists provider in the same season.

They'll quite possibly buy Grealish and Kane. If people haven't been alert to the trajectory of them just making France out of the PL they haven't been paying attention. Solskjaer is about 200-300m worth of talent from guardiola squad and by the time he's spent that so will guardiola.

I think if we bought Kane and possibly a DM/CB and were really lucky with injuries we'd definitely challenge them but yeah that would be 200m right there. And just typing it out brings home how utterly impossible that kind of spend would be for us.

Our best scoring forward has 11 goals this season. We need a forward.

Cavani - 10 goals
Martial - 4 goals

‘Position we don’t need’...

We’d be challenging for the league right now with a CF we can rely on.
We need many positions filling, it's about prioritising and filling as many gaps as possible rather than spending the whole budget fixing 1 position and neglecting the rest.

It's worth noting we're massively overperforming our xG this season in the league, so we've actually been clinical relative to the chances we create.

Our attacking weakness is in creating chances, we're miles off City and even Liverpool/Chelsea in their shit seasons have created more but they've not been as clinical. Now as it happens, Kane is also one of the most creative players in the league as well as goalscorers, I think he'd make the biggest difference of any 1 signing we could make. However, if we can sign multiple players vs just Kane then there's an argument to be made for signing multiple players.

7 of 0-0 draws in the league this season.

Would Kane solve that 0-0 draws problem? Or would new CB and new midfield or DM solve them?

Anyone who would even think of turning down the chance to sign Kane, whether that be at the expense of other signings or not, needs a thorough psychiatric evaluation.

He has rarely been rotated at Spurs. They play him every game and then he always seems to miss a few games near the season end.

If he goes to City they can go with no striker or Jesus to give him a break.

We have Cavani.

People use our spending from a selective period to make a point that misses a more precise point. We spent terribly for years and Solskaer has nothing to do with that. Hes about 500m shy of guardiola in building a team and didn't inherit de Bruyne sterling Aguero etc. Its a huge difference between the 2 and i suspect will grow
