Thanks for pointing it out. But do you really believe 100% of what the link says? Looking through Ronaldo's career and particularly the past week, isn't it obvious that he has always put himself above the club and everyone else? Why would he care the cut for other players? It makes much more sense if he thinks the other players deserve the cut - after all, no one can deny that last season really sucked but Ronaldo apparently thinks his performance was good enough to continue pursuing champions league.
Regarding Maquire, for however people rate him, he is still the captain at the moment and also is the guy who went to Munich earlier this year to pay respect to the club. Just look at whatever MUTV clips Maquire appeared, he was always tense treating every public appearance as a press conference. Can you really see a guy like this go across the line to publicly endorse Ronaldo's upset about the wage cut, when the entire world thinks the players probably deserve it?

I think he is a good player over pointed at due to how much he costs us.
I personally don’t look or care about transfer fees much because they hardly represent a players actual ability anyway so I don’t get hurt by Maguire’s performances.

It’s not really Maguire’s fault that he isn’t particularly good. The legacy belongs to Ole.
To Mourinho. The scouting team built their player portfolio based on Jose's recommendation. And United followed through at a later date when the next manager requested a defender that had been through the scouting process. The same thing happened with the likes of Shaw (scouted before LvG but signed during LvG).
By the same token, Ole never would have been the one who watched Amad play 7 minutes of first team football and then signed him for £40m. Again, it's the scouting team that led the recruitment process. The manager only signed off on it because he needed a player (or occasionally didn't, as with the DvB who Solksjaer never fancied).
The reality of Manchester United doesn't tally with the way video games represent it. The club machinery takes the manager's request for a player in a particular position and then churns out what it thinks he needs. And he has to be happy with what he gets.
LvG and Jose both left on bad terms with Woodward for exactly this reason. Ole had the least power out of all of them. Hopefully, Murtough and Arnold are changing that now for the new manager.
Also, neither Ole nor Maguire chose to pay Leicester £80m. It's incredibly unfair that Maguire is now having to take flak because Woodward and Judge were shit at their jobs of negotiating the transfer fee.

Why would the club expect the players not to like the wage cut? In any job in the world happy workers are more motivated workers. More motivated workers means a higher input/output. If the players have got the hump then we're starting the season off on a very bad foot.
You're confusing issues here. Just by liking the post he basically IS saying "this wage cut isn't fair." So it's not a totally different story. Maguire is the captain of United. Why in gods name would he want to put himself in the firing line after the disastrous season he's just had? The most obvious thing for him to do would be keep his head down, stay out of situations where he's open to attack and work his nuts off for the new season.
