Has fergie forgotten about the babyface assassin?

Jan 22 has been penciled in for his comeback, a reserve match. Ole will add experience and versatility to our attack. We've missed him, no doubt.

You say that like it's a bad thing?

Anyway, I, Ole's best friend, am eagerly awaiting his comeback, more than any of you!

Then you should be flattered ( that your thread is a classic of sorts, rather than your having 3 different birds since then! ) ;)

I never said that I didn't appreciate him, yet the point is that he's mainly produced the good playing with a Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, Cantona, or Ruud. Yes, he's done well on his own, but in all honesty, he's not really built for it is he? Playing on your own up front requires a lot more holding of the ball than shooting at goal. IMO Ole's main assets are his positioning, awareness, control, and especially finishing, not strength to hold up the ball with his back to two centre halfs.

Ole's mainly produced the goods with a fellow striker simply because prior to last season, United was playing a 4-4-2 formation of sorts & Ruud has been lone striker since we made the switch - as I've stated & shown stats elsewhere, Ole's played lone striker for United on many occasions before & done so very successfully - & we're obviously talking about an alternative striker to Ruud should the latter become unavailable on a short term basis rather than a striker taking over Ruud completely - Ole's shown to be a very good alternative, regardless of his build ( Saha's about the same size yet people are bleating that he's a good lone striker ).

ps - IMO, Ole's ball control, lay-offs & heading ( in aerial duels or in scoring positions ) are better than Ruud's at present.

You're not the only one who's confused.

Did you start the topic as headed, or the topic about Giggs Greatest Goal, because that's what the start of this thread appears to be about.

The thread was supposed to start at post #32

There's your answer G4orce.

Your thread hasn't been dragged up. Well, not on purpose anyway.

Somehow, your topic about Giggs has found its way to the front of this one.
