Hating Lingard

Don't remember her name. Just someone who wanted to look like Angelina Jolie, had some cosmetic work done but ended up looking more like the Corpse Bride.
It was later revealed to be a spoof.

He needs to produce for much longer than 15 games before we can get too carried away. Not slating him and hope he does it but certainly not getting overly excited by this run.
Ah c'mon, you surely have to get excited by his current form.
It remains to be seen if it will last so enjoy it now.

No way! - I missed that. Nevertheless it's a good tweet. I've always thought Mourinho's persistence with Lingard-Rashford on the wing is costing us. They are not naturally comfortable in wide areas, neither can cross. Lingard has now found his position.

Maybe it's the post-Christmas blues. Struggling to get excited about much! Maybe Liverpool getting stuffed tonight would help.
Its a tough time of the year pal. Keep the chin up.
A liverpool defeat would cheer us all up!

Surprised me. I have to admit I was on the back of him last season and the start of this season. Never in a million years believed he was good enough. He has improved a lot. His link up play, off the ball movement, goals. Jose has to take some credit for that. As much as we praise Pep for what he has done with Sterling, Jose has also brought on Lingard.

Deserves to be given a run in the number 10 hole. Much prefer to see him there than Miki

The amount of people making out they always knew he'd come good is funny. I always thought he'd be a squad player who would come in and do a job from time to time myself.

His goal against Watford was simply orgasmic and the goal against Everton had me on my feet clapping it was marvelous.

It's funnier when LVG and Mourinho always trusted Lingard to start games. I wonder what is going through the mind of among the best manager in the world.

Yeah definitely you got a great set of eyes to spot his talent being average. Mourinho and co. doesn't have a clue!

Sarcasm aside, we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. As a supporter, when I find a certain player that looks average and keep being trusted from time to time.. there must be something to do with his great attitude and professionalism. What he did in training we will never know but the coaches does have greater understanding than any of us.

I don't know Lingard will flourish, but i trust the coaches and I will believe that it will come good.

He plays with his brain. It's almost like mentally, he paints a picture about how it's gonna be.

Stealing a living I tells ya.

Also, you'll never win anything with kids!

He's brimming with confidence. I almost expect a worldie from him these days. What a step up he's made, credit to the lad.

We are seeing a Vardy-esque late bloom player. Who, in front of our very eyes, is changing from a weak link into a genuinely top, modern forward.

At present, Jesse Lingard is our best attacker.

The guy is just not very good, let's be honest.
He's obviously going to be criticised because he's worse than our other attacking players. What the feck do you expect?
He's crap... shouldn't be anywhere near our bench never mind starting. If we had a better player who could do his role we'd be so much better.
He brings diddly-squat. Maybe that'd valuable to Jose.
Because he's generally fairly shit, largely does sod all and misses glaring opportunities infront of goal on a regular basis (see tonight).

A spade is a spade, innit.
You seem genuinely upset every time someone criticises Lingard. Are you related to him or something?

What's the point for digging up old posts about Lingard's past performances when he was shite?

I'm sure people could easily find some of your posts that might seem odd now...

Eh.... Lingard has always been a fantastic #10 when he used to play in Man United's youth teams.

But unfortunaly, he has been played out of position as a winger and was never really been trusted to play as a #10 at the 1st team.

Credit to Mourinho for trusting Lingard as a #10, but that is not improving a player's development...

Surprise of the season so far. Tell anyone before season starting that Lingard will be scoring cracking goal week in week out and become one of our most players and he would have told you that you're mental.

Feel ashamed to have doubted him before. :D

The first few pages of his performances thread are quite a fun read too.

Let's be honest. That was the general view at this time. He hasn't been that consistent the last couple of seasons and his finishing was always crap. He turned the tides since November. His finishing has become consistently great and Mourinho put him in his best position.

Digging up old posts? They were just over a month ago . Thats just over a month longer than you've been posting here. It highlight's the pathetically harsh criticism this forum has delved into of late.

If Mo Salah was banging in the goals Jesse's been scoring recently the whole world would be collectively playing soggy biscuit over him and proclaiming him the god of football...

They aren't comments on his performances, they're comments on his ability. They're saying Lingard is shit. It's fun, because it shows that the posters in question are not very good at judging talent or ability.

I agree, I also thought the same and have been pretty hard on him. Now I can look back and find it funny, because he sure is proving us wrong so far.

Same for most if not all for us. The credit should be given to the few who were defending him at these moments!
