I'm glad Myhills time wasting was punished by giving us the added time we needed. Mediocre performance so far. Poor passing. But you can see that with defenders in defence, and our best central midfield, that this is a lineup with a lot of gears it could go up if the players get into a groove.
 
great time to score...but we really don't have the excuses of the last few weeks....we have three of our top defenders back.....so we should come out second half and hammer them.
 
Lucky to be ahead.
Only Vidic, Brown, Evra and PIG playing well I think.
Berba, Rafael and Valencia very poor.
Lets see a better 2nd half United !!
 
Nice to see Wazza making a point in celebrating with Fletch who did exactly what Rooney does so often in chasing a wayward ball.

And I don't think Berba's been that bad in all honesty. The most wasteful players have, unfortunately, been the wingers.

positives: created chances and got the goal
passing needs to improve
 
Giggs in his 30s has always been a slow starter, even more so when he's been out for a while but geez, he's set a new low today. Apart from the set pieces, he's been dire.
 
Been a cracking match so far.
Good to get the goal before half time, but in truth we should have had at least 2 or 3.

It really is great to have Fletcher and Carrick back in midfield, they're both playing very well and they make us so much more fluid going forward and give us more defensive cover.

How about doing all the work to set up Tevez for the most important goal of our season last year at Stoke?

Anyway, we better not rest on our laurels in the second half, because Hull will punish us.

If all four of our front players weren't being complete spastics, this'd be about 5-0 already.

Rooney can never get the bal out of his feet, Giggs keeps passing the ball without even fecking looking, Valencia seems to have been replaced with a midget version of Emuelle Heskey, and Berbatov's trying to play in five different positions at once, without bothering to move.

I don't like the idea of Brown and Rafael being on the same side of the pitch as each other either. They both keep wondering off.

Luckily, we're playing against Hull
 
Rooney almost shattered Fletchers neck in that celebration ... I was worried for a second there. Didn't see SAF celebrating ... Did he do his typical jump-in-the-air-whee celebration ?

They should have had a penalty, but their actual chances were no better than ours.

Are you waching the game or typing on the forum, for most of that half he was the only attacker making runs that stretched their defence, put Rooney through twice and his cross that ended up with Fletcher could have been buried by Valencia had he been a yard further back.
 
shocked to see only 1 goal, the game been very open, not good for our heart though...
 
Pretty poor performance in attack and we should have conceded a penalty. I thought it was a pen in real time but we're due some luck, especially if you look at what Chelsea have been getting away with. Should go on to win at a stroll now, but need to get our act together with our passing.
 
Wd could have had a lot more than a goal in that half. A bit rusty in the top third. The match is still too open for my liking.
