The only interesting matches for the neutrals could be Germany- Netherlands and Serbia - Portugal (maybe Poland- Austria too)

Good for England that they have both games at home.....they should easily win both games.

Some interesting and already important matches.......
Germany vs Netherlands - A loss for the Netherlands and they are in serious trouble.
Ireland vs Switzerland - Ireland need at least a draw.
Serbia vs Portugal - Portugal have obviously won the Nations League but they should still do better in the group.
Finland vs Greece - A win for Finland and they would make a major step to qualify for the Euros.

I used to remember the days when watching International Football was such a step up from club football, now it is like going from Premiership to League One.

I will travel to Dublin on thursday:)
Really important game for both Ireland and Switzerland. If we lose it will be really difficult to catch them.

Unfortunately Shaqiri don't want to come to the national team this time and rather concentrate on his job in Liverpool. (Where he has warmed the bench 95% of the time so far this season). A lot of open questions and unrest in the Media on here about this one. We certainly will miss him as without him our attack is quite average. Still hope to grab a win in Dublin as the chances to qualify would look very good then.

Nice break from watching united last couple of seasons to be fair.

Can't believe how bad the pool of Australia national team is now.

Just looking at their squad and their captain Milligan plays for Southend United. :wenger: Also got players from Fleetwood town, AGF, AEK Larnaca and Suwon Bluewings in there.

The only good players in there are Matt Ryan the Brighton keeper, Lecike who's an average Bundesliga forward and Aaron Mooy (now at Brigton). Guys like Luongo and Jackson Irvine were showing promise 2-3 years back in the championship but neither have pushed on and cut the eye of premier league clubs. Whatever happened to Tom Rogic at Celtic?

So different from when I was growing up and Australia were still trying to establish themslves and get to World cups. Bosnich, Schwarzer, Craig Moore, Lucas Neill, Brett Emerton, Grella, Bresciano, Tim Cahill, Culina, Harry Kewell, Viduka, Alosi.

Not just at good european clubs but actually key players. Think this current pool is going to struggle to make 2022.

Milligan was playing for my local team Hibs last season. Looks finished and wasn’t surprised when we released him in the summer.

Rogic got injured in Scottish Cup final victory against Hearts back in May. Hasn’t played a single minute of pre-season as still injured along fellow Australian international Daniel Arzani who is on loan there from Manchester City.

.

If they finish outside the top two they are still guaranteed a playoff spot.

If we don't beat zhe Germans, we will have to win all other matches to qualify. While I don't think that's going to be much of a problem, since bar Germany they're all pub teams, but still. Good for us that Sane is injured, because he was turning our world class CB's inside out like they were drunk last time.

Surely those Northern Ireland lads will eventually lose a game, seeing as they're shite and all.

Northern Ireland are not easy to beat at all in Belfast. Beaten likes of Russia, England, Spain, Sweden, Denmark since 2005. Held Italy to a 0-0 in 2010. Might have to a be a 1-0 with Big Virgil or De Ligt scoring from a set piece type game as I don't think Norn Iron back 4 will be having sleepless nights at defending against Memphis or Babel.

Would expect Holland to comfortably win their home game though.

So many games and only three look relatively interesting.

@Catt are you feeling confident tonight? I reckon we might sneak a win.

Armenia down to 10

Harsh second yellow honestly

Belotti misses a sitter and the first half is over

We need to get UEFA to give us a provision exempting us from playing official games in september

Pellegrini. We should have pulled through

Good thing too 'cause with our current fitness levels we won't win in Finland

3-1 game over. Belotti but it's a gk own goal. Unlucky

Hard fought 2 - 1 win after an Nordtveit OG.

Semi-exciting attacking line-up, though. Ødegaard, King and the new, punchable face could give us a whiff of optimism (which will be extinguished in Sweden, of course).

Looks good. Me and @Samid just have an irrational dislike Nordtveit.

Grandpa Lagerback just chillin' watching the kids.

20 minutes without really threatening. Not too sure about this Lagerback project.

4-0 for Sweden, scored by Robin Quaison. Hopefully Isak gets his hat-trick. I'm already starting to imagine him beating Zlatan's record some day.

Nah, can't really see this team beating the Surströmming guys on Sunday. When is the Nations League play-off?

Semi final is at Ullevaal in March, possibly the final too a couple of days later.
