Is Pogba as good as gone?

I dont think hell be gone in this window but for sure will be gone in the summer, all this injuries, coming back after weeks playing 20 minutes and then missing a lot of matches seems more of an excuse.

I think he lost faith in the project and wants out, he clearly came here under the idea that Man Utd will become a strong force again, this is his fourth season and we have gone worst so I dont think anyone can blame him for jumping the ship.

"Advised by his people"

Pogba is gone for sure. I just hope it's this month and we can get someone in to revitalize the place. That's a tall ask though I know

So basically you can’t tell me what he did wrong.

That's not the point. A player in his prime wanting to leave an underperforming club is part of the business either way. If he had been sold and replaced in the summer it would have been better for all parties involved.

Do what? What has he actually done?
Erm, attempt to orchestrate a transfer away from the club on more than one occasion, not once has he come out and addressed fans. Continually hides behind Raiola who apparently now literally speaks for Paul Pogba. Like I said I dont even blame him, he's been pandered to non stop since coming back to the club. The only person who called him out on it was Mourinho. Ole tried the nice guy, arm around approach and Pogba is still the same. This isnt even mentioning the continued 'mysterious injuries'. I mean seriously, through that whole 4 month period of him not playing how many updates did we get on his 'injury'. It was always vague return dates given, most United fans can see through all this nonsense thankfully and it's reflected on here. I have to say though I do wonder about the people who think all of this is genuine and that Paul Pogba has been injured for four months with an ankle injury and still wants to play for Manchester United. To me both those things are laughable.

But he’s a big part of the reason, under FFP how many £100m players do you think we can have?

The wording in that quote sounds very suspect to me. “His people” should have alarm bells ringing, certainly hints at a disconnect between him and the club.

Do we need the money? If he’s acting a spoilt brat feigning injury, refusing to play or whatever it is he’s doing then let him rot in the reserves until his contract runs out.

Missing the part where he suddenly walks fine once he s out of sight.
"The greatest trick the red devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that...he's gone."

Big part of the reason we’re failing? He’s been our best player by a mile since he came here.

Literally he’s the only player we’ve bought he can sell for a higher fee than what we bought him for.

Of course he hasn’t been the best player in the world but besides consistency I dont blame him at all for his performances, he’s been putting the numbers we expected from him I dont think its fair to put all the pressure on his shoulders just because he’s the only worldclass player on the team, specially with the failed manager we have.

The point of the discussion is what he did wrong since the Watford game. People just came into conclusion but we don’t know what’s going on, we don’t know whether he’s really injured or no, all we know Ole said he’s injured. But a lot of people here said he did something wrong while being injured, like what?

Tell me what he has done in the last 12 months

Yep, we ain’t city or psg or Madrid being financed by the council.

To who? There can’t make many club willing to pay over £100m for him.

No club is willing to pay that, they didn't want to do it in the summer and will definitely not do it now. We are absolutely fecked in this whole situation, bent over by Raiola and the potential buyers. We might actually have to sell Pogba on a loss. :nervous:

‘‘Advised by his is people.’’ How bizarre.

For the first time ever, I’m starting to accept that he will be gone :(

Tell me what he has done in the last 12 months

This season has been pretty much as Ole would say a “write off” because he hasnt played.

But here are some statistics from last season, even under the last spell of Mou:

ManUtd 2018-2019 season
Most goals: Pogba 13
Most assists: Pogba 9
Most shots on target: Pogba 50
Most take-ons: Pogba 60
Most fouls won: Pogba 69
Most chances created: Pogba 55
Most possession won: Pogba 218
Most passes into final 1/3: Pogba 321
Most duels won: Pogba 234

Well 9 goals were from the penalty spot (albeit one of them missed and rebounded)

9 assists for a £100m non defensive midfielder in an entire season isn’t worth bragging anout

He shoots from anywhere

He dribbles in his own half and been caught out

Some of those chances were pish

He has the ball most?

This. How people can take this so easy and nonchalant is bizarre to me. We have no midfield and we won't buy anyone in January, the season is done.

A lot of penalties, and honestly, I like watching the player but he'd be replaced to the greater benefit of the whole team, for PL greater specialism is needed. He doesn't score enough to be relied upon as a goalscorer, doesn't get about the pitch as much as many others, he passes great from deep but that doesn't always have its uses. He is a bit of a jack of all trades to be honest, who on his day becomes unplayable, about 1 in 10.

Ole said that Pogba has been told by his own advisors to have an operation.

This all looks very much like the Kawhi Leonard and San Antonio Spurs debacle.

I think the most intresting question is: "why would Solskjaer put it like that"? It's somthing I would expect from Mourinho.

Over half were penalties. He also missed a few.

Most assists: Pogba 9

For 90 million. Amazing. Where does 9 assists rank in the overall assists tally that season?

Most shots on target: Pogba 50

Shots on target. What did that get us? Any idea how many shots he had that were off target?

Most take-ons: Pogba 60

Take ons? What? What does that even mean? And what did it achieve?

Most fouls won: Pogba 69

Again, so? He was fouled a lot. He has the ball a lot.

Most chances created: Pogba 55

What's that, 1.3 per game?

Most possession won: Pogba 218

He lost possession 600 times.

https://mopays.com/2019/08/10/manchester-uniteds-paul-pogba-lost-possession-602-times-last-season/

Most passes into final 1/3: Pogba 321

And? How many led to anything? How many went out of play?

Most duels won: Pogba 234

And? 'Duels won'? Who comes up with these asinine 'stats'?

To be honest, I forget he even plays for us. Not even sure OGS cares about him anymore. If he wants to play, wants to do well by the club and he’s still here, fine. If he wants to go, I have no problem at all with him being sold either. Certainly passed the stage of trying to figure out what’s going on with him though.

Ok there’s no point in debating, the numbers are there but you minimize them. So there’s no way anyone can convince you that Pogba is not shit.

I’ll leave it there.

Another poster just ripped them apart also but peace pal, new year and all that.
