Seems like its just a matter of time now before war starts with Lebanon...the forever victims will be working overtime to garner sympathy.

Yep sounded hostile but I won’t withdraw that previous tone, just like when I’m wrong it doesn’t take a second thought for me to apologies.

Blumenthal is an investigative journalist with a track record of such work. Some of his conclusions might not be agreeable or devisive but he puts his name to it as his work.

Hinkle is a social media personality with no investigative work to his name, instead known for using the work of actual journalist without crediting them.

You can at least hold Blumenthal to innuendos and falsehoods because it’s his own work but you can’t do the same with Hinkle.

What I believe to be a truth teller is of no value to this, all my statement carry is what their work is. For the work they’ve both done this comparison should not be legitimised.

If you look back at my posts you'll note that I didn't compare them, I didn't refer to Hinkle once, I merely criticised the notion of Blumenthal being considered a reliable source.

Sure I wouldn't that disagreeable conclusions don't disqualify the work of someone as a journalist, and appreciate that you don't determine his value to be dependent on his honesty, but if you're interested it's worth looking at a well documented track record that suggests he is more a paid propagandist than journalist, including his state-sponsored trips for Assad, receiving funding from an Assad lobby group, and this breakdown of his efforts to delegitimise Syrian NGOs and even justifying attacks on medical workers (while never criticising Assad). IMO he's about as much an investigative journalist as Alex Jones is. Anyway this is straying well off-topic so that's all I personally have to say on this.

There's a few interesting things here but I find the whole thing kinda myopic overall. The argument is basically that vicious civil war, insurgency, blowback, etc. are the consequences of bad planning. Or in their own words, that you can destroy Gaza and kill tens of thousands of civilians and this will merely "have an impact on the feasibility" of plans.

Of course, very few talk about this or the tens of thousands of other Palestinians held hostage in prisons and concentration camps.

In tomorrow's episode of contempt for IHL:

"Israeli negotiators who are working on the issue believe the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza is significant leverage that Israel doesn't want to give up as it tries to secure a new hostage deal, a second Israeli official said."

Norman Finkelstein on a panel lead by lead the actor Michael Rapaport and screenwriter Lee Kern.

The interview is good, but I've posted this video because at 07:18 begins one of the most chilling things I've seen and heard in my life. Absolutely mind-blowing.

I see we're coming closer and closer to irrefutable proof of the executions claim made recently that was so below the IDF to do. Hmm.

They have done it in previous wars, so there's a precedent.

Anyway, I don't see it as something worse than bombing children and snipers killing them and women in the streets which has been documented multiple times and also happened in the West Bank.

So what's the deal with the West Bank violence then. Hamas aren't in any meaningful control there, so what excuse are our paragons of democracy wheeling out to justify this latest excessive display of force?

There's some resistance in the West Bank but the situation could get out of hand very quickly.

The Israeli government is also withholding a lot of money that belongs to the PA, so people aren't getting paid and getting frustrated.

These people are fecking sniveling worms, it is ridiculous how much more freedom each one of us has than these pieces of shit.

Also saw something earlier about a protest to stop the aid which is nowhere near enough of coming into Gaza.

Something similar might have actually been talked about. Parody is hard these days.

David Cameron was actually discussing percentages of collateral damage today with some MP. It sounded so ridiculous, I posted it before but it has been deleted from here.

BBC apologizes for report accusing IDF of ‘summary executions’ in the Gaza Strip

24 December 2023

In overnight output we ran a story about Hamas accusing the Israeli army of carrying out summary executions in the Gaza strip. This was a Hamas statement, but although the accusations were attributed and our story contained a response from the Israeli military saying they were unaware of the incident and that Hamas was a terrorist organisation that did not value truth, we had not made sufficient effort to seek corroborating evidence to justify reporting the Hamas claim. We apologise for this mistake.

It wouldn't surprise you if it was real because it is almost literally what the "U.S. liberal" position is.
