Italian Serie A - 2020-2021

Top 3 goalscorers in Serie A are all ex-United - CR7, Lukaku, Zlatan.

And then you look at the PL top goalscorers and no United forward in top 10. (Bruno is joint third, but he's a CAM).

Cavani would be top 3 in Serie A, had he joined Inter or Juve this summer

Laturo Martinez hat trick.

Inter go top albeit with Milan playing later.

More interesting is Juve now 12 points off Inter with two games in hand so to have serious chance of winning title now they need to pull 10 match winning run out of the bag.

Got Milan and Inter away in next two weeks so their title bid could well be over by end of January. Sassuolo at home will also be a tricky one.

Gosens is class.

Atalanta having a stretch of their legs and hitting in four before hour mark.

Dominant match for lukaku!!!

Lukaku, lautaro, skriniar, brozovic and barella the best today for Inter.

Milan 1-0 up but down to 10 men against benevento. Big second half coming up for them

2-0 now, Milan and Inter just cant stop winning, its already over for Juve imo.

How good is Martinez for Inter?

Shame, was a quality goal.

Rodrigo De Paul is a very good player, one of those you're surprised is still at his present club. Was sort of linked to Leeds in the summer and apparently Inter looking at him as signing in next 6 months once they can ship out likes of Eriksen.

God. Their crossings been awful. Pirlo’s tactic: put floating crossings as much as you can, there is no tall players but Ronaldo why even trying to float it, just drill it on the ground.

Ronaldo dropped back from corner kick to made sliding tackle, won the ball back, got up and dribbled it forward. Rare to watch.

What a pass by Ronaldo.

Edit: ridiculous stuff really after watching the replay. Great technique.

Juve is already out of it, so the game doesnt matter that much.
Dude being a milan supporter you should be very aware that every year milan chokes on the second half of the season. Besides, if juve wins on Wednesday, and wins the pending game against Napoli, Milan is just 4 points above. Far from out of it.

is that so?

funny, because the last 2 seasons, we've been excellent in the 2nd half of the season... we nearly went unbeaten last season, and season prior made it within what, 1 pt of CL due to our 2nd half?

but ok.

Second half of last season was great, you are right.

It is amazing that nothing can stop them :D

Their next match is against Juventus on Wednesday

No Ibra, no Bennacer, no Saelemaekers, no Tonali.
We have good cover for Ibra in these type of games, but it's been a struggle without Bennacer. His backup Tonali is suspended, which means Krunic has to start.
The team is much better when Saelemaekers is starting.

Do you fancy your chances against Juventus? Beat them and they are almost out of the title race, feel weird for saying this after only 16 games but 13 points with a game in hand might a bit too much for a rookie manager in his first season. For some strange reason, I still think Juve can win the Scudetto because I don't think you and Inter can sustain this form throughout this season, look at what happened to Inter last season, also with the Ronaldo factor and Juve team has serial winners.

Milan and inter as title favorites, it’s great to see the Milan clubs back on top!

Juventus can still definitely win. I actually think Juventus have more chance of beating Inter away on match day 18 than the one vs Milan on Wednesday. Inter aren’t very good against big teams.

Juve on their day can beat anyone though.

In this particular game? I'd say it's 70-30 Juve, if it's not a draw. But only due to the absences. At full strength Juve would be ripped apart again by this Milan.

As for the Scudetto, I think Juve are hopeless with Pirlo at the helm. No way they'll finish above Inter, who have no European fixtures to worry about. As for us, it depends on the injury situation.
If this injury nightmare continues then I can see Juve surpass us eventually.

Bad news for Juve: Sandro and Cuadrado positive at Covid test. Dybala got temperature too and should miss match against Milan

Just watched Alexis Sanchez have a penalty saved and Ashley Young hit the post with the rebound.

Inter snoozing on the job, 2 down at Sampdoria now so if Juve can win at Milan later......

Resting Lukaku for this isn't a great look with the missed penalty.

Interesting to see Keita Balde scoring for Samp. I rated him at Lazio but his career has really stalled last 3 years so interesting to see if he can get things going again as he's still pretty young.
