Napoli probably deserved to lose that game, terrible performance. I think Milan certainly deserved CL over the balance of the season. They ran into a tough stretch after Christmas with injuries, COVID etc, but they have a solid base to build on.

Absolutely disgusting bottling from Napoli today. They're in great form and played a team in awful form and yet the nerves got to them. Even more woeful than Leicester.

Inter= City. Wasn't 1st but went supernova in the second half of the season.
Napoli= Leicester. Were comfortably in the top 4, somehow finished 5th.
Juventus= Liverpool. Struggled the whole season. Somehow qualified for the CL in the last minutes of the season.

Didn't they used to do play offs for teams finishing level on points in key positions? Pretty sure euro spots and relegation was decided like that in 90s.

Just looked back and final day of last season Verona lost 3-0 at Genoa who had to win to stay up so they haven't always been like this with nothing to play for.
Lille and Atleti winning the titles this weekend was decent though. That's something at least.
