Italian Serie A - 2021-2022

Roma didn't deserve to lose this. 2-2 should have been the result.

Honestly their results are worse than their overall performance from what I have watched.

Jose’s first ever home defeat in Serie a

I think we deserved to win it..

We were far superior until Hernandez red card, especially in the first half we were all over them.. Then of course in the last 20 minutes they dominated but dont think Roma created that much to deserve to draw.. That said, it was a pen on Pellegrini at minute 90+5 imo, we got lucky there..

pardon me? i have absolutely no issue being unbiased, and am somewhat even fond of criticizing my club.... but until that red card, we were absolutely strangling roma, and should/could have been 3-0 up, MINIMUM.

after the red you obviously took some control and 93rd goal aside, the right side won.

@acmilandata

#ACMilan handed Jose Mourinho his first ever loss in a Serie A home game, after 43 matches in a row without losing. It was the longest unbeaten home run for a coach since 1994-95 in the competition.

Dumfries-Alex Sandro penalty
Kjaer-Pellegrini No penalty

italian referees are the worst

I also think Milan deserved the win, their performance until the red card was really great.

I can't help but laugh at Roma faithful. They celebrated getting rid of Džeko for free and spent around 60 milion euros to bring in Abraham and Shomurodov as replacements. What a ridiculous club.

So italian refs bosses consider the milan penalty a MAJOR mistake by the ref, apparently

Light contact = not a penalty

Have they given their opinion on Inter - Juventus penalty then?

Milan definitely deserved the 3 points. Don’t think Roma really worked their keeper until stoppage time.

it was never a penalty. ridiculous decision.

a defender can’t even attempt to win the ball these days? be barely touched zlatan before coming around him and taking the ball cleanly.

yes they both ended up falling over but that doesn’t make it a penalty. I was certain when it got referred he would change his mind.

Did you tune in after Hernandez red card or something?

Roma were pathetic in the first hour. This was the first time Milan have been able to outplay a team since Diaz tested positive for COVID 3 weeks ago. Even a 9 man Bologna put up a much better fight against Milan.

Roma showed up only after Hernandez sending off and Pioli's defensive substitutions, a tactical retreat, intentionally giving up the possession battle. All our counter threats were gone when Leao and Saelemaekers were replaced by centerbacks and defensive midfielders.

So... after 100M€ in transfers with no exits, basically Roma is doing not much better.

Milan is extremely solid and pretty much the hungriest outfit out there. Serie A needs them to win scudetto to further raise the value of Serie A broadcasting rights (AC Milan is still the most riveted footballing brand outside Italy). Inter - Milan will be fun this weekend… there is no Conte anymore, they won their scudetto already.

Enter Napoli, the unexpected wonder of the season: more talented overall, better coach, higher peaks and higher ceiling, without the CL distraction/fatigue for their pretty thin squad, and the poor Southern team against the powerful Northern guns from Milan.

We will have our fat dose of stereotypes and stories served until May, so just prepare the popcorn and enjoy the ride.

Are Milan in a position to keep Hernandez, could easily see him at a City or Barca replacing Alba

why would he leave milan for barca?

and yes, we are... he is absolutely a fan favorite and head over heels with maldini. they are apparently deep into negotiations over a contract extension (per the top milan reporters)... all of theo, leao and bennacer are in advnced stages apparently.

City maybe, they love nothing more than spunking money of FB/WB's. Barca won't be able to afford him.

Why are we acting like the red card isn't part of the game now ? It happened and the 30 minutes after it do count.

Here-we-go & done dealio this morning, it seems!?

Venezia already 1-0 up against Roma, after 3 mins.. Let'see how it ends but I've the feeling Mourinho won't last the season

Roma lose 3-2 to Venezia despite being 1-2 up at half time.

Roma have been awful for a while now. Don't think Mourinho lasts the season.

Mourinho's struggle at spurs and now at Roma proves we never got a great manager, clearly discretiding Neville's stupid assertion we got top managers that failed before Ole.

And even if Neville was right and Mourinho was still a top coach, it wouldn't make me his comments any less dumber

Gotta feel for Mourinho though. 3rd game in a row his team is on the wrong side of a scandalous refereeing decision

Mind, his team should be more dominant and not concede as much as they did to fecking Venezia, but still

Is it a Mourinho problem? This happens everywhere he goes. We can make fun of him for all his moans, but some times he has a point as well. Does the referees hates him so much? This is happening with VAR makes it even more scandalous.

Refereeing in Italy is easily the worst of the top 5 leagues. It's every bit as bad as Portugal and I don't say that lightly, refs ruin games every week

Mh, dunno that it's the worst but yeah, it's gotten really bad in the last few years

Used to be we had the best refs, too....
