Feck it, I'm still a bitter cnut. Always loved North Macedonia.

Scandalous.

Euro winners should automatically get one spot from europe in the world cup, same with winners of other regional tournaments.

It doesn’t make me feel good, just brings back the pain of knowing that England bottled that final.

Bloody Southgate bottling it against these jabronis.

If we had played with the intent of dominating instead of cowering, we'd have won.

Bloody Southgate.

England should genuinely be embarrassed bottling it at home against this average lot though.

They are gonna watch it on their TV set from Rome.:D

Oh and current Serie A is shite in terms of quality. Everybody looks a world beater there.

Its a fun league to watch

Only goes to show how England bottled that final, Italy was clearly the better team that night and deserved to win.

Italy
World cup: 4
Euro: 2

England
World cup: 1 (thanks to a non-existent goal)
Euro: 0

That Euros win really saved Verratti from having one of the most pointless careers a top midfielder has had

"We're staying at home, in rome!"

This comment makes no sense
Sorry but are you trying to say that England was the better team in that final?

England had the means to play better and should have done say but they didn't, it is what it is.

Hilarious how irrelevant Italy have been in the World Cup since their 2006 win.

Seriously, their most memorable moment since then is Suarez biting Chiellini.

Looks like Italy sold their soul to the devil to win 2006

1990 Lost on PKs
1994 Lost on PKs
1998 Lost on PKs
2002 Lost to Korea and referee
2006, Zidane red card and PK to win
2010 Group stage exit
2014 Group stage exit
2018 DNQ
2022 DNQ

Can't compare this Italy with the Euro squad. That Italy was hungry and played some great football (outplayed Belgium, one of the favorites to win Euro 2020). Form has dropped massively, the attack is badly stagnant without Chiesa and Spinazzola, Immobile is playing even worse and the other options (Scamacca, Belotti) are injured. Mancini really f*cked it up, should've started Scamacca during the qualifiers 'cause Immobile is allergic to performing outside of Italy.

There will be a minimum of 20 years between Italy's most recent and last knockout game at a World Cup. Italy!
