Januzaj | Confirmed: On Loan at Dortmund

I can't see Dortmund taking him on loan without having an option to buy... why would they?

This story is like the Everton loan deal. Why will we send him to Dortmund, if we won't send him to Everton - a team in the same league, and with lesser competition in the attacking third? I don't believe this.

That's why i think Dortmund will get an buyout clause. Would make no sense for both sides otherwise. If it just was for his development, it would be better for United to loan him to a midtable BPL club where he still plays in the league and is probably a first starter. While in Dortmund he wouldn't be a first starter if the main 3 (Mikitaryan, Reus, Kagawa) stay fit. Also it makes no sense for BVB to develop players for other teams.

No way we should loan him and agree on a fee, we would be clowns (Woodward rather) to do so. Has he not seen what has happened with De Bruyne?

I would be shocked if we are not getting someone in exchange. Why would he be going to BVB?

This seems like a strange loan in the sense that you wonder will he get enough football

Good for his education though i suppose

This move makes no sense at all. We need his depth just as much as Dortmund do.

But your if is so out of place, that would be like saying if we bought Martial for 100m. You dont comment on totally improbable outcomes.
It's not improbable at all. Look at the tweet on the last page. Do you really think Dortmund would do us a favour and loan him out with having an option to buy? It's very much a probability we'll sell him.

Same stories were banded around with Welbeck last season when we all thought it was a loan and then we found out he was actually in fact sold.

Yes I don't get this, unless we are at least securing an option.

Not surprised about the loan and I would not be surprised either if he left. After spending £37m on a player whose potential was no where near Januzaj until recently, when we decide to inflate his price tag.

To be positive, I hope the loan will help his career and he can comeback a better player. A future attack like the one below can be mouth watering, however I can't help but feel Martial will be a replacement for Januzaj or perhaps Peirera. Because, I can't seem him as our striker for the future.

Peirera
Januzaj - Martial - Depay

Why not?

Maybe, maybe not. They sold a lot of players, bringing in a very talented youngster, even on loan, wouldnt be bad business for them. I dont think we would sell Januzaj cheaply, so therefore i dont think Dortmund would pay the asking price.

They will be much better off with him than Kuba. Kuba is pretty much finished at the top level IMO, I'm surprised that Fiorentina are taking him.

I don't think he'll get in the side regularly from what I know of their squad.

I can't believe we would let him go out on loan unless it was to facilitate a move for another player. He would get plenty of matches here this season and was in our first XI just two weeks ago.

Deffo think he's a talent, but i've never been truly convinced by him. At this point in his career, he lacks the decisiveness, that sense of being unstoppable, that sets the great apart from the merely good.

He might develop it in the years to come, but then again he might not.

So he was not injured, we must have been negotiating with BVB, for a while, so he dropped from first team to avoid injury, I hope we get a Dortmund layer and also Rafik Zekhnini

Doubt he'll get much more time at Dortmund than he would here. Reckon he'll be gone permanently if we can manage it.

Can't see us loaning him out unless we are bringing someone in (in addition to Martial). Otherwise we are a bit thin in numbers.

I don't understand why we'd loan him out to a club stacked with players in his positions when we are short of them.

I wasn't completely against a loan move, but a loan move to somewhere he'd be first choice. Dortmund makes no sense as he's in the same situation he is here. And apparently with the option to buy? What the feck? Losing Pogba and now adnan, ridiculous.

fecking hell didn't see that coming!!

We haven't got any fecking attackers left!
For the love of God, what is the club doing?
Madness

Maybe LVG's philosophy ultimately is one of playing a 4-6-0 formation? We are well into the process.

I just hope a buy option isnt included, that would be a bit ridiculous. Surely Woody and LvG will get destroyed if we have no success. It is a bit of madness.

German newspapers reporting that Dortmund has an option to buy him after this season.

This is a transfer I don't understand and it could be one we will regret. It only makes sense if we have practically signed a new player who is better than Adnan or if Van Gaal totally lost faith in Adnan and doesn't care about him. (But why? He was not superb, but okay most of the time when Van Gaal let him play this season. And he did let him play also in important matches. That's why I thought Van Gaal believes in his talent.)

I really don't understand this whole thing.

Well van Gaal is very stubborn, it wouldn't be the first time he decided to let go of a good player because he didn't believe that he fit his style.

Imagine next season Dortmund competing in the top 4 of the UCL once again with Januzaj as one of their main guys, while United is playing Euro League.

The vengeance for screwing up 3 years of Kagawa! :D
