Joe Rogan

“TikTok has fried the brains of young girls to the point where they've stopped using contraceptions, resulting in a huge increase in unwanted pregnancies and abortions.”

That wasn’t tentative. That was a definitive statement of fact.

I heard this on the radio the other day where a Scottish minister and a Doctor said that in their opinion Tik Tok was absolutely partially responsible for the large increase in unwanted pregnancies and subsequent abortions. A few countries have now said the same thing and drawn similar conclusions. Although definitely not entirely responsible, it's becoming evident that although it's impossible to determine how responsible Tik Tok actually is, it definitely has some part to play.

Spotify have already shown their moral bankruptcy during the pandemic. Better avoid that shite at all costs.

So what's Spotify's angle here? Is Rogan that profitable to them?

My guess is that it will be released on Spotify first, the Rogen will release it on YouTube and other platforms and Spotify will have their branding all over it and maybe share revenues?

I know people who almost died of the AstraZeneca vaccines. Vaccines and medicine always comes with risks but the benefits outweighs the risk and the chances are very very low.

So do I. I know of a lot more people who actually did die from Covid though.

This is quite the ride. Quietest I’ve ever seen Joe Rogan.

Don't know anything about Terrence Howard and I'm not going to listen to the podcast, but is he a nutjob or something? Just reading his Wikipedia page he sounds dumb as feck. Apparently he's convinced that 1x1=2 using the following logic:

"How can it equal one?" he said. "If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect. One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what's the square root of two? Should be one, but we're told it's two, and that cannot be."

Lord knows what it was, 3 hours flew by though, I didn’t actually set out to watch it all, just flicked it on cos I’d heard TH going on about some wild stuff a while back. He either needs a cuddle and some medication or he’s the second coming or summat

Genuine question: What is the appeal of listening to two morons discussing something they have no knowledge about? I can maybe understand it when Rogan brings on an actual expert on a topic, but this clearly seems like a person that has simply convinced himself he is very smart.

Usually no appeal and don’t normally watch much JR but this dude took off like a jet plane and didn’t break for air for 3 hours and I ended up transfixed, if only to see where it went next

To be fair, it’s a fascinating look inside the mind of a very talented and troubled actor. He may be lost in his own world but he has charisma in spades and it is fascinating to hear someone that lost in their own world be eloquent about their thoughts and ideas.

You could get the same from a drunk on the subway.

As fantastical and unbelievable as his claims may be there’s a coherency behind his incoherency. Fascinating dude nonetheless. Always interesting when you have these people who, by most standards, have achieved real success in their career and then veer off on apparently mad tangents such as this.

Watching him on this podcast shows me that he truly believes this stuff. On the surface he appears to have had some form of breakdown and ended up in some kind of escapist, almost fantasy driven arena but he’s owning it and shows true conviction in what he’s (very fluently) saying and some of it is compelling.

Regardless of the validity or utter spectacle of any of his claims, he’s gone all in that’s for sure and it’ll be interesting watching his ideas get unpacked. Fascinating watch anyroad.

Yeah, pretty much what I took from it. It was interesting, he’s clearly a clever dude but he’s nailed himself to a very public cross with that podcast which could (and probably will) turn out brutal for the dude.

I got about 10 minutes in when he started mugging off Einstein

absolutely batshit but it's impressive he manages to deliver it with such confidence and assurance

I see Rogan’s managed to get a reputable scientist to debate graham hancock so I’ll listen to that… can’t imagine Hancock fairing too well in that one
