i bet he has a whopper but never brags about it. unlike some people who windmill it no matter where they are and ruin my 5th birthday party.

I think people are expecting a little bit too much from him. He's not the second coming of Jesus Christ to be honest, he's a great player but not a miracle worker.

I think it's the statement of intent as much as the player.

The players looked like they were drifting and depressed. Everything was worse than last year. More players past it. More players injured. More players in the first XI who weren't as good as their predecessors (the same thing could be said of the coaching staff). Even the big summer signing was kind of depressing (Fellaini Vs RvP - even if Fellaini eventually comes good, that transfer lacked any kind of wow factor).

The players looked at Moyes to inspire them and he looked as depressed as they did.

One week on and Moyes is sounding like it's Christmas, there were even glimmers of confidence and personality in his press conference. From what we know about the players so far, they're delighted. The fans are happy.

Mata's a step in the right direction on the quality side, but the possibility he'll raise the spirits of the players and the manager is potentially even more significant.

A little less than four hours to go ladies and gentlemen before we see Juan Mata take the field to play for Man Utd.

Rooney carrying a lunchbox with kids picture on it?

More important - Oh Emm Gee: That front 4 today, I can't stop touching myself.
Looks like his kid on his boot bag. Watch the masses turn that against him in his thread.

I just wouldn't like to see him fail at United, really like the little guy. I don't really expect that to happen but I don't think he will hit the ground running either seeing as he has barely played lately.

Wait - Mata didn't arrive by helicopter and has to carry his own gear? Ha we suckered him good !
