I would like to see Welbeck up top and Kagawa in behind him with Januzaj on the left and Mata on the right. It may not be Matas best position but he's played very well there before (unlike Kagawa on the left). Also I think mata could help get the best out of Kagawa and vice versa. I'd expect all 3 to rotate really.
 
If we can still strengthen cm with top players then this is a great signing. I just think the worry is that one we don't use him properly, we'd need to play in a flexible manner that moyes has seemed against playing, and I just hope this hasn't burnt to big a hole in our future transfer pot.

That said if moyes is open to changing our approach then with mata, kagawa, januzaj, nani, rvp and Rooney imo we have a great aray of attacking talent who can play in various ways.

I think if we do change it mata could help bring more out of the likes of kagawa and januzaj. Like I said the worry though is that we try to get mata to play a more fixed role with defensive duties. Whilst I think he's better equipped to influence from wide than kagawa I think similarly we wouldn't see anywhere near his best there.

But suppose you just have to hope. End of the day he's a top player and with him and some of the other players mentioned above moyes has to find a way to get the most out of them.

Great player. Like Ozil with us you could say it's 'not what they need,' but really when a player of Mata's quality and pedigree become available you simply don't say no.

I wonder how he, Kagawa, Nani, Januzaj and Rooney fit together. Great options in all, and healthy competition for the squad.

Getting excited over two reserved parking spots outside Bridgewater hospital. They eclipse anything seen on here. Surprised they haven't got Jim White in a helicopter.

I genuinely think having someone like him in the team will also make Fellaini a far more effective footballer for us. Just wait.
 
Just want to see him holding/wearing a United shirt with Moyesy...then It'll really sink in that we've signed the little magician himself.
 
Don't think you need to worry about Kagawa cesc he's on his way out - think it will be in the summer so he will be on the bench most of the time of rest of season. Nani never around anyway now and he doesn't bring much to the table either - can see him going in the summer as well & only making fleeting apperances (if he ever get fit again) this season. Personally hope we go for Shaw at Southampton. I'd also like to see Powell and Linguaard come into the squad next season.

Whatever big changes ahead and we need to make them. Standing in the Stretty End this season has been a depressing experience a lot of the time but hey I've seen worse from United in my time so we've just got to get on with it.

Personally sad for Kagawa I like him but he was aweful against Sunderland - no confidence and phsically knock out of game by their midfield which is a shame. I also worry for Hernandez hope he can turn it around his timing is aweful and its not that he hasn't scored recently. Worrying.
 
Absolutely fantastic signing (pending medical), one that will improve us immensely. Finally a midfielder who can not only create a goal but score one too. Good bit of news after a lacklustre season.

He's the kind of player Danny will thrive off, I hope he starts behind him until one of the big two is back.
 
I cannot wait to watch his debut. I haven't been this excited since Rooney's debut; and we all know what happened there. I was obviously excited about RVP, but for some reason not as much as Mata. God almighty we're going to be one hell of an attack.
 
From all the weeks to sign Mata, we're doing it when we play on a Tuesday. I can't wait until then to watch him play!
 
It's going to be an incredible feeling seeing him in a United shirt. The next mystery is: Which number does he take? He has a picking of #7,8 and 9 right now, absolutely spoiled for choice, wit 11 possibly available in the summer.
