So Jurgen "Doesn't need to spend as much as Jose" Klopp, has now spent more than Mourinho, owns the worlds most expensive defender and could wrap up a deal for the worlds most expensive goal keeper.
For years blind Kloppites insisted he did things "The right way" and would "Focus on developing young players" at Dortmund and when he first came to LFC. It turns out he wasn't spending like Mourinho because.......He couldn't. Now he has some money burning a hole in his pocket he cant spend it quick enough

Baily I was worried about but with Mourinho at the helm there was no way Pogba, Zlatan or Miki worried us non-Utd fans as much as you'd like to hope. Their legend always just existed in your minds, and still does.

We have still spent more and spent it badly at that.
Klopp is the only manager that gets away with screaming in the 4th officials face and harassing match officials. The media and FA never pick him up for it because it’s part of his “Quirky” bullsh*t personality and his “Heavy Metal” Ja. Loathe the guy.
I find it ironic that a United fan is moaning about Klopp doing things that Ferguson did for 20+ years.

Except when Ferguson did the things klopp did he was almost always punished. Fined, occasionally banned and always hugely slated in the press (to the extent that his behaviour has been hugely exaggerated). Klopp very rarely is despite some of his antics being pretty bad. I personally dont care a huge amount but dont think the poster was saying anything other than that he gets away with it more than other managers which is obviously true
People often say things like this. Its such rubbish. Can a person only be irritated by hypocritical and annoying behaviour when threatened or envious- or is this a glimpse at liveroools mindset? Was nigel pearson not detested by many, likewise mark hughes while in freefall?
Alot of people dont like klopp because they think hes an annoying prick. In this case it annoys me because it was him who as usual couldn't help but talk about united and our business. Before you get ahead of yourself that liverpool are moving the right way try see a sustained title challenge or an indication that klopp can set up a defence. See how he handles the new balance of squad.
Or carry on and assume seasoned football fans will only criticise or offer a discerning opinion because theyre worried about opposition

Piss off with your stupid comparisons. Fergie got fined almost every month, once also for praising a referee. Klopp gets away with murder on the touchline because the refs like his passion.

I could put up with exciting football and winning nothing for a little while but not for three years like Liverpool have under Klopp.
It should be obvious based on the hypothetical scenario I put forward that you wouldn’t be winning anything. Whether you’re leaking goals or not is irrelevant.
I asked if you would swap the Europa League and League Cup’s you’ve won under Mourinho for two years of exciting football under the same manager. Would it make any difference in how you currently feel about him?
I would to be honest. Were it a league or a CL my answer would be different, but a Europa league and a league cup are not worth the grind every weekend.
The Europa league was more of a relief than any actually joy for me. Salvaging a CL spot after a season where we finished 6th. As for the league cup, as I said, it’s a league cup. It’s great for a temporary moment of happiness, but it hasn’t been worth the football we’ve had to endure.
Of course someone is going to come in and call me spoilt, saying we don’t have any divine right to win anything at all, which is of course correct, but at some point we have to be honest that Manchester United’s ambition is for the big trophies, not for two second/third tier trophies. If that’s all we’re getting, then the dull football isn’t worth it to me.
I'd say anything other than second in the league and a trophy of some description this season would be considered an epic failure.
Blatantly dishonesty right there. As if all that happened under Mourinho were the two cups and we were never excited as fans in those two years. Also that Liverpool excited fans all the time under Klopp. Basically create a hypothetical scenario based on hyperbole specifically to force a conclusion.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and explain something. 'Boring football' has only manifested itself in 17/18. 16/17 was a season where we played teams off the park but couldn't hit a barn door and kept on constantly drawing games. More specifically the 2nd half of 17/18 is where we regularly grinded out games. Even then we have some of the best games in recent memory where we came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 (Crystal Palace and Man City).

Seems relevant since that's what you posed. Why else would you bring up this hypothetical in a Jurgen Klopp thread, and specifically reference the cups United won and the exciting football Liverpool play.
If you asked the question about boring football but winning trophies versus exciting football and no trophies id pick trophies everyday of the week.
I was kidding. That’s fair enough and ultimately managers have to be judged on what they win.
I brought it up because I was interested in how important playing nice football was to United fans. It seems that a fair few on here are frustrated with the lack of a style of play.
