And it's impressive that, unlike Bundesliga and arguably La Liga, Pep succeeded in getting such results in a competitive league. Manchester City managed to achieve around 100 pts when there were 4 other English clubs which made through the most important UEFA tournaments' final.
He also won the DFB Cup in 2012.As if every club has the resource of Man Utd, Real Madrid and PSG. Poch is a top top manager even without trophy.
Surprised someone like Juventus, Bayern or Barca ain't going for him.
I truly hope the German Federation "steals" Klopp from Liverpool. This guy could win the 5th WC for Germany, with Liverpool back to 2010-15 form.

I replied to your comment about his big spending on his squad. In the end Liverpool board and fans are very happy with their manager. That's what matters.

He's spent almost £180 Million on Gini, Keita, Fabinho and Ox. How much more does he need to spend to get a good midfield?
He’s a very good manager IMO. For someone who can make average players play above their level must be doing something right.

Considering his personality I think it will be hard to tell if/when he actually does. Everyone will think he's just being "passionate"

All the 'best in the world' claims are highly subjective. One thing I'm pretty sure of - it wouldn't work out for us with Pep. Klopp is the ideal fit.

This is all kind of feeble. I hate Liverpool as much as the next man and horrible to see them win but klopp is an outstanding manager.
The day Sir Alex announced his retirement, amongst all the talk of which managers to go for, I really really wanted klopp. Was gutted when Liverpool got him as I knew he'd do well with them.

If you look behind the results, he didn't really have that big of a meltdown with Dortmund though. The team was unbelievably unlucky for most of the season, and with average luck they should have finished second. The New York Times recently did an article where they focused on Liverpools analytics team, where they basically say that they wouldn't have hired Klopp if it wasn't for them suggesting that Klopps "Dortmund meltdown" was mainly due to bad luck.
That is some fine cherry picking right there.
It was also ultimately only one really bad season. Hard to hold that against him in the long-term when he's since then gone on to literally win the CL with a team who'd spent most of the half-decade before as a glorified upper mid-table outfit except for one season.

True, but suggesting he had a big meltdown feeds the narrative that he he is only good for a certain amount of time, so I can see why rival fans want to believe it. He is an absolutely amazing manager, and there is no other rational way to look at it.
Let them pretend! Always makes me laugh the comments of what happened in his last season with BVB, you can guarantee those who say it was a 'meltdown' or that he was 'found out', didn't actually watch any Dortmund games that season. It was a ridiculous few months when everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, but Dortmund actually played well a lot of the time, but couldn't score to saves our lives, and would conceded pretty much every shot on target. But still the boys never gave up on their coach and bounced back in the 2nd half. So people will be waiting a long time for it to happen again.
I am so very happy for Kloppo tonight. No coach and no one in football deserves this more. He is not only a fantastic coach, but a fantastic man. I am just so glad he is finally European champion.

I've always thought that there are no best managers per se, but just a best manager under certain circumstances. I don't know if he could do what Pep is doing in the league with City, but I'm sure that there is not a single manager out there that could have transformed that Liverpool team in 2015 to what it is today.

To me he is the best manager in the world. Yes, better than Pep. He built the team with unknown and average players to what it is today. All the while playing exciting football. Liverpool success is entirely down to him. Pep success need lots of money to back him up.
However, I feel that his Dortmund team was still the best in term of attacking and gegenpressing. The Liverpool version is not so intense and slower in many aspects.
We can only hope that both Pep and Klopp want a new challenge soon and go to other league. Both of them will never manage us.

Bit of hyperbole. He spent a good bit of money on world class players or above average players to get where he is. Players like VvD, Alisson, Fabinho, Mane were not nobodies when they joined Liverpool. Firmino and Salah were the result of smart scouting.
Yes, he is a good manager, but Liverpool have an excellent transfer structure and Michael Edwards as well as the vision of their owners is also responsible for much of their success.
Deserves that title and to be a contender for BMITW. If he wins league next year - rate him higher than Pep.
I had lost a lot of respect for the man after he became Liverpool manager but fair play to him. Completely deserved the CL this year.
Klopp would disagree with you. He literally said this team is the best team he's ever had though. He's generally a very honest guy.
