That’s a sensible post. These state run clubs are terrible for football so how supporters can root for a club like this against a normal traditional club is just baffling regardless of the dislike. City truly own the hearts and minds of both manchester clubs supporters. Wow
Have to agree. It's incredible that states are allowed to own football clubs. Social institutions should never be allowed to be owned by states. It's sickening. Could never shout for City. Club disgusts me to the core. Klopp is 100% right with what he said.

As usual its total hypocrisy from Torypool fc. They were the ones( Moores family and chairman John Smith) who got their friends in the Tory government to change the rules in the 80s so anybody could buy a football club via the removal of rule 34.
Why is it that when it comes to Klopp, it’s he nearly did this and nearly did that. He has won 1 title in 8 years and 1 CL in 8 years. (Like It or not, the other trophies are not recognised as major trophies now). LVG was sacked the same day we won the FA cup and Wenger was hounded out after wining 3 FA cups in a row.
At the end of the day, Klopp had the opportunity to be the greatest of them all, but fecked it.
I find him so unlikeable. When he's on top he gives it 'we have the best this and the best that' and the fans and media place Klopp on a level with Pep, so why is it he's sat in 11th place with half of last seasons team of the year?

Some people really just don’t get that the hatred for Liverpool runs deeper than anything. Vladimir Putin could walk out of the dugout next to guardiola on Sunday and I’d still hope for a 5-0 city win.

Nonsense. Liverpool, as much as I hate them, have done really really well to give probably the greatest pl side a run for their money. In any other era, they'd have won 3 or 4 league titles.
You are bitter. That's all. I hate pool and am thankful city of all teams stopped them. You have to recognise how good Liverpool have been under Klopp.

Over 4 seasons they're 1 point behind City! So to win only 1 title in those 4 is a statistical amazement really.
Plus he's battling the most financially aided team in world history. I don't know why people try and overlook that.
The luck Klopp had was selling Coutinho for a ludicrous 140m to fund a key bit of recruitment. Without that, his work takes longer and maybe they don't even win what they did do.

I don't know why you think the bolded. This Liverpool side isn't as good as many of our sides under SAF, Mourinho's first Chelsea team or Wenger's invincibles. They would have been bridesmaids more often than not in any era.
City are, in theory, loaded with money but Liverpool spent more than their fair share. You don’t have to be as rich as you’re nearest competitor to win leagues. He’s had the 2nd/3rd best team in the world over the last 5 seasons and it’s still 1 league title to his name. Not only that but it’s looking like 2 disastrous seasons out of three.

I believe there’s a limit to how much you can spend without crying about how much more the other rival is spending. You can find a 100m striker that’s better than Nunes that can challenge City if you really tried. fecking that up and watching your side plummet down the table isn’t down to City buying Haaland or watching City buy Grealish who was benched last year.

Almost winning something is meaningless, when compared to actually winning something, getting beat in finals isn't anything to be positive about, unless I missed them celebrating after the final whistle and celebrating their respective runners up medals??
So let's stop with this, "they finished second but without City they would have won the league" stuff, the facts are they didn't win the leagues.
Houiller and especially Rafa were more of a success than Klopp, Rafa won his Champions League against far tougher opposition, even if it was via a dodgy penalty shootout.

Exactly, I have no idea why people are bigging up this Liverpool side, they are not, and haven't been as good as a lot of other past sides, heck the Leicester side that won the league would have wiped the floor with them.
I am not bitter at all, I am coming from this with a clear mind, and a commonsense view.
Houiller took a Liverpool side who were previously abysmally poor and led them to win 3 trophies one of them a European trophy, his improvements were far more impressive than what Klopp has achieved.
No way did Liverpool look like winning a European trophy before Houiller took over, but yet that is what happened.
Both Rafa and Klopp built upon the modern foundations that Houiller put down at the club.

He's always been a clogger, can't imagine why anyone would big him up. This season, he's not even been clogging.
Already see it in match day threads. United aren't winning 5-0 after 10 minutes and they can't handle the anxiety. Even worse if the other team also have a couple of chances.
It's the FIFA effect IMO. They play out the fixture on the PlayStation and win 15-0 then expect the real match to be the same
Complete nonsense. I hate Liverpool as much as any United fan. I hate Citeh as well but Liverpool for me is the worst and them winning the title was my worst nightmare. I'm just giving credit where its due.
Liverpool won the equivalent of a europa league, a Mickey mouse league cup and a fa cup under houllier. The phoney treble. The players who played for Houllier are all retired so no way can you say he was the foundation of success for Klopp.
Under Klopp, they won the ucl with 2 other finals, the fa cup, the league after 30 years whilst finishing second by a single point twice no less behind one of the greatest premier league teams ever in Pep's Citeh and also won the league Cup.
The reason is the points total. They finished above 90 points twice yet finished second. I do believe, however, that Ferguson's competitiveness means he would have driven United to greater heights to beat the competition so maybe they could have snatched one or two at the most just as Mourinho did back in the mid noughties.
You can't dismiss the trophies that Houllier won, calling them Mickey Mouse is being very dismissive and very disrespectful.
It still takes an awful lot to win them, so winning 3 in one season is a huge achievement, no matter what you personally feel towards the individual trophies.
Rafa won the Champions League against AC Milan, Klopp v Spurs, there are levels to this, and Milan are a fair few levels ahead of Spurs.
Points totals are irrelevant, it is what you do in a season that matters, and not sure how getting beat in finals now is something that is praise worthy, when it really isn't, a defeat is well just that, a defeat.
As has been said previously, Klopp's "title win" has to be put to one side, with an "*" next to it, as it wasn't played under the same conditions for the whole season, that is just a fact.
