Juventus - Real Madrid (CL Final)

Real will knick it by 1 goal, probably a header from Ronaldo. I wish Juve would lift the trophy, but I really doubt it.

I wish Ronaldo scored but I'd bet on Juve's defense to stop him especially if Barzagli plays. Going with a 2-1 win for Juve. Chiellini, Dybala and Modric with the goals. Varane to cost Madrid

If the back four can negotiate the first 15 minutes and settle nerves / miedo escenico, I am confident Juve can bring the trophy home, all the boxes have been ticked since 2011, one by one.

Ramos own goal or brainless red card would be lovely. Navas keeping Real in the game and being heroic would be nice too. Maybe Navas having a dream game then Ramos wiping him out leaving Higuan to score a tap in would be a good scenario.

Have been in Cardiff today - the atmosphere is amazing, fan zones are ready, Real Madrid and Juventus fans everywhere.

Will still be in Turin for this. Going to be a great atmosphere as the city is putting up a screen in the city center. Should be fun for a neutral

Just hit me that it's the return of Ronaldo to same stadium as the 2004 FA Cup final. That was one of the first indications he was going to be the icon of the game he has become.

The only reason I would want Real to win is to guarantee that Ronaldo gets the Ballon d'or and be equal with Messi.

I feel if Juventus wins Buffon might get it.

After quite some time, the top two teams(this season) in the world are facing each other in the finals.

If Real Madrid play 4-3-1-2, I wonder if Juve's shape will mould into something like a 3-5-1-1 to match them. That's the way Juve ended up when both Lemar and Silva moved into central areas in the first leg against Monaco.

Dont see why anyone wants Madrid to win. Detest them so much from Penaldo to their spoilt fans.

Hope Juventus thrash them.

If Juve win it will strengthen their claim of being a bigger club than us. Plus with Pogba's situation in mind we should not want the narrative that moving to United is a step down to take root. We already have 'snubbed' to contend with.

On the other hand we have little hope of surpassing Real's trophy count in Europe anytime soon.

Real to win, please.

So what if they think that?

Madrid are parasites. Juve to win. Buffon to end his career in style.

Really can't wait to see BBC vs BBC

Sergio Ramos, the clutchest footballer on the planet, to score the winner (header from a corner) in the 83rd minute.

IMO 'they' is not just Juve and it's a bit more than just "thinking".

If the reasoning is sound and the argument persuasive, in a competitive environment it has real world consequences wrt things that we care about and things which affect the team. Sponsorship, marketing, buying players etc. If it were purely an academic curio that had no real world consequences then it would hardly matter, but the perceived relative ranking of teams (and leagues for that matter) does.

You know that seeming difficultly that the club has trying to dominate the market in a way that their own self-image suggests they should. You know that elephant in the room that many supporters would rather ignore. Maybe just maybe, relative performance (etc.) counts.

Sanchez by all accounts, wants to go to Juve. That might (just might) possibly have something to do with their league and CL performances of recent times. While current national/Serie-A achievements can be rationalised away, we really do not want Juve to establish an incontrovertible marker that "they are back".

We already have the usual suspects to deal with. Given our other current issues we do not want to add Juve (Serie-A) to that list.

Hope for a Juventus win tonight.

Anyone care to mention who the referee is? Could be important...

More likely Buffon. He deserves it.

Buffon should win the Ballon d'or. Tired of Ronaldo and Messi sharing. Juve should win it in through penalties.

It's not about sharing awards round because someone hasn't won it before. Messi and Ronaldo have dominated because they're head and shoulders above everyone else.

Buffon is a legend, one of the best keepers of all time, but is he the best player in the world right now? No.

If Buffon was ever going to win the Ballon D'Or it would have happened in 2006. He's not the best goalkeeper in the world anymore, let alone the best player.

Any chance Ronaldo coming bck to United if they win this ??

He has pretty much won everything there.

He's won everything here as well, so why would he consider that? For the better quality of life in Manchester?

Well, he can still win the Europa League with us if we finish 3rd in the Champions League group stage or via our league position because no chance of that happening with Real Madrid. :p

Buffon has made some crucial save against Barca and Monaco. Juventus wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.
