Exactly, but if the keeper had gone the same way, he would have looked like a right prat.
If the keeper goes the other way, it's a good pen, simple as.
He sends the keeper the wrong way. There's only one way he can put the pen as his 'standing leg' is so close to the ball. But instead of planting the standing leg he just poked the ball. Genius.

I realise that, but the keep could have just as easily thought he was going to do some kind of feint and then gone the other way. It's good, but by no means foolproof.
A good penalty is one that hits the back of the net, regardless of where the keeper dives.

it was pre-season and we were in a cauldron just sitting in the stands. To see Giggs and Scholes play the full game in that heat and humidity was unbelievable.
