Neither would displace our CBs in my opinion. Our CBs have come a long way this season in my opinion too.

My opinion has completely changed and if we are to buy a CB this year it should be a youngster at a great price that looks to be the next big thing. Not a starter that costs 60m+

He was as injury prone as jones and was also making a lot of mistakes. The Evans situation is similar to that of Jesse where everyone has forgotten what they served up in their last year or so as Manchester united players.

His last season has a lot to do with LVG being our manager. He sealed his fate under LVG when he spat on Cisse Vs Newcastle.

We wouldn’t be having these conversations at all if it weren’t for the fact that seven years later we still don’t have CBs or CFs who are indisputably better than the players we’ve let go. Kneeless Welbz has as many goals as Martial this year, in half the time.

Evans isn't better than Lindelof. We have to replace Lindelof but still he is better than Evans.

Would take the Evans who played for ManUtd alongside Vidic/Rio over Lindelof, not this Evans.

Eh, I think I'd slightly disagree. If I were picking one to win a match tomorrow and my life depended on it, I think I'd have Evans ahead of Lindelof (though not by a huge margin or anything).

Mind, the latter is a better partner for Maguire in my opinion given his mobility and I think he's become weirdly underrated, but of the two I'd shade it towards Evans. I think you're right though that some of my initial incredulity might have been over the top!
