Which looks like a better deal...

20 million for Keane
or 30 million for the Berbatov..

I know we got the real deal

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: LIVERPOOL:lol::lol::lol::lol:

berbatov any day for me. This lad is genuinely world class, watch how he shines now that he's playing with great players around him.

Berbatov is worth every penny. No doubt about that.

Keane will be a flop. Primarily because Benitez will insist on playing him wide and also because he is overrated.

One's good. The other's a genius on the pitch.

Both players were overpriced. Berbatov is just a better player.

berbatov is overpriced , so is keane

looking at the money both clubs have to spend + need to spend .. we got the better deal

berbatov completes the squad for us .. we dont need anyone else anytime soon ..
liverpool need a lot of players .. a decent RB a decent LB (dossenna ?) wingers .. and seeing how well keane is doing , they could use a decent backup striker for torres too

Berbatov is a much, much, much better player than Robbie Keane. Who gives a feck if we payed more? We're getting a better player.

Keane is a good player, whereas Berbatov is special, different gravy at the end of the day.

Keane for me, plays with his heart on his sleeve. Berbatov plays with one hand on his wallet and the other one on a hanky.

So why did he turn down City that probably offered better wages?

Smith plays with his heart on his sleeve. Ronaldo plays with one hand on his wallet and the other one on a hanky. Even though the latter is a cnut know who I'd rather have in my team.

Oh and Keane ditched Spurs for a bigger pay packet and a more glamourous club just like Berbatov.

Keane supported Liverpool since he was a kid, its his dream club.

Trophies and Champions League.

If anything you both got a raw deal.

So he claimed. Everyone is a boyhood Liverpool fan when they sign for Liverpool.

Also didn't stop him ditching Wolves for Coventry, Coventry for Inter, Leeds for Spurs and so on.

Apparently he rejected Pool to sign for Wolves in the first place.

I think people need to accept that transfer market in England has changed. Forget about the old prices.

20m for Keane, 12m for Milner, 16m for Bent, 17m for Bentley, Carrick 14-18m, Villa wanted 18m for Barry. Even other players like Smith for 6m, Pennant 6m, Johnson 12m. feck, Hull were ready to pay 7m for Campbell when he is not even scored in the Premiership.

That's just how it is now.

Anyone who thinks they got an awesome deal for 30 million pounds needs to stop watching football.
No one thinks it is an awesome deal. He is pretty good player though.

No one would give a feck how we paid if we win major honours this season. Money is better spent on class players like him than going in Glazers pockets. After all fans are being charged top dollars to watch the club so that money might as well be invested in rather than sitting in the bank in Arsenal's case.

A really fair point. To think in 1995 we signed Andy Cole, a player who bagged 35 premiership goals the year before, for £7m. That will only get you Fraizer Campbell who is unproven in the PL. You're right we need to forget the old prices and for United to progress we may actually need new investors.

It is not anymore. Transfer market has changed in England. Better accept it if want to buy proven league players.

30 million pounds is a shit load of money,

If it was Euros it would be at the limit but Pounds is rediculous. I really can't justify spending that much money, but hes not my player.

SAF probably got himself into a hole thinking he iwl lget him for 20-25 and put so much effort into him towards the end if they didn't sign him they wouldnt have time to get someone else so Spurs had the advantage there to talk up the prices.

I honestly don't give a damn about the price. We spent our budget on one player unlike Liverpool that as usual spent it on 3-4 different players.

See the list I posted. That's just how it is now and will be till the Sky-Premiership bubble bursts. WHU wanted 12m for Carlton Cole FFS.

Exactly. Does it matter if we spend £30m on one world class player rather than 3 average players at £10m?

No, it doesn't. Berbatov will ensure we retain both our trophies this season.

You can qoute me on that in May.

Both are slightly inflated, but good deals. Keane is a good player. Not on the level of berbatov, but that is why he cost 10 million less.
