Sounds like a good goal, but was more excited when I first saw this!!

"Could have been his number two goal". The word you're looking for is "second", Paddy.

Best match I've seen us play this season. Defense does need sorting out, but Moyes has been rotating it so often that I don't have too much concern about it. Onto the next match.

I must be the only one who noticed it so. Oh, wait...

Just posting with an agenda. I'm not an Anderson fan by any means but other than Carrick and possibly Zaha, Anderson was one of the best passers of the ball in the first half.

The second half is another matter, he certainly wasnt as good

That's my thinking too. Nothing much to worry about yet.

And I maintain that Anderson is one of the best passers in the team too. Your assessment is right; his first half was good, not the 2nd, and his passing was fine.

Apparently Anderson has played the most minutes on tour.

Good. He needs more minutes than everyone.

With Moyes coming in and how his team handles fitness, I'm kind of optimistic about Anderson. If he can stay injury free then I think we might finally get somewhere with him.

Moyes should reward Ando with a Big Mac for that achievement.

Moyes probably dangles the Big Mac in front of him before each game. After the game he probably eats it as well with an evil laugh as anderson looks on with a look of devastation on his face

Whatever Moyes is doing, it's working!

I think it's fair to say that these high humidity settings for games and training are really helping all the players, and Anderson is benefiting too.
I imagine Moyes is being harder on him than Rene was though.

It'll do Anderson no harm, he looks leaner and fitter and he's managed 90 mins twice now in quite humid conditions. I hope he keeps fit because there is an asset in there for us.

This is a good take on it. Our overall football was good, finishing a bit suspect (we should really have had 8 goals) and defending understandably sloppy given the constant chopping and changing of CBs. More good stuff from the kids.

Whilst the Fat Anderson jokes are fun, is he actually a chubber? He just looks stocky to me. Like Tevez or a player of that build. Quite a stacked upper body, but not in a can't-stop-eating-burgers sort of way.

Don't think he's fat but there's a difference in his build when you look at the pics from his first season when he looked like a world beater at times

He's actually quite ripped, half the jokes come from the amount of pictures of food he used to post on instagram.

Amos' whining to his defenders at every opportunity is starting to get on my nerves now

Its what a keeper should do, Schmeichel was at it all the time.

De Gea should really be starting at this stage of the tour IMO.

There would be no point in taking players on a 3 week tour and not playing them. De Gea had plenty of football with Spain after the season was finished.
Right choice IMO.

Right to share the games in pre-season, but I think that he should start in the next two matches. He'll be our main keeper next season and he needs to be prepared for that. I really hope and pray that Moyes doesn't have any idea about a rotation of keepers.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be having a go at them, because goalies should keep their defense on their feet. But the 2 goals he let in, I do feel like he complained as if to say both of them were the defense's fault entirely. Yes, the second was given too easily, but he was beaten a little more easily than he though and the first was a fine goal taken from range, it was very well aimed.

He has a right to say things to his players, but even when he did stuff wrong he would offload it to them.

He was bang within his rights to complain about both their goals, since both came from our outfield players showing incredible complacency and laziness. You can do a Crerand and say there's nothing we could do about the first one, but that's bollocks. Nobody made much of an effort to tackle or block, and he shouldn't have been allowed to get into that position in the first place. There's a reason why mediocre pre-season opposition players often score wonder-goals against us. It's not because they're brilliant players, it's because we go three up and get complacent and allow them so much room and time that anyone would have a chance of producing a good strike.

So for me, the defenders (and other players who were at fault) deserved as much of a bollocking as the keeper felt like giving them.
