La Liga 2013-2014

Very tough game for Barca tonight. I see them dropping points. Bilbao are playing quite well again this season.

Very big match tonight, we're only at matchday 15 but it's season defining, IMHO. We'll see what sort of coaching chops Tata really has and if an elevated team performance sans Messi is possible in the face of what is significant pressure for 3 pts

Iraizoz, Iraola, Gurpegui, Laporte, Balenziaga, Mikel Rico, Iturraspe, Susaeta, Ander Herrera, Muniain y Toquero.

Vs

Pinto, Montoya, Piqué, Mascherano, Adriano, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, Alexis y Neymar

Our man should have passed that, but Toquero wouldn't have done anything with it anyway.

Phenomenal play from Ander Herrera. Goal from Muniain.

Herrera is what I would call a right rat. He rats around the pitch, pressing and nicking the ball away from players.

Either side of the keeper and he scores. Shit from Toquero.

What a save from Pinto, bullet header from point-blank range by Toquero.. should've been 2-0!

I've been really impressed with Balenziaga tonight.

Why is he number 2? Reminds me of when Gallas was number 10, not that numbers are totally relevant nowadays. Still quite funny

how is he doing? did he start?

Yeah he's been good, doing what Sixpence said. He had a fantastic piece of play where he won the ball from a slide tackle, got up and turned the defender in one movement and then passed it to Susaeta who crossed to Muniain for the goal.

thanks. looking the type of player we need or no?

He's played in quite an attacking role tonight, with Mikel Rico and Itturaspe behind him so from tonight's performance no as we've got Kagawa and Rooney for the attacking midfield position.

That said I've seen him play in a more central role numerous times and I reckon he's a cracking player, might not be a player to set the world alight but he does what Cleverley is meant to do (harry the opposition, spread the player and link up with the attack)
