What is happening right now with the delayed trophy presentation is an absolute disgrace, especially considering it'll mean so much for a club like Atletico, who have been waiting so long for this moment. The cnut responsible for this fiasco should resign or be sacked.

According to Deloitte:

2009/10: Bayern Munich - 323m
Dortmund - 105.2m

2010/11: Bayern Munich - 321.4m
Dortmund - 138.5m

2011/12: Bayern Munich - 368.4m
Dortmund - 196.7m


So, while the gap between Dortmund and Bayern is more than significant, quite colossal to be honest, it is still dwarfed by the gap between Atletico and the Clasico pair. We also have to take into account that Dortmund faces one domestic giant, while Atletico are facing two. We must also acknowledge that Dortmund in their first CL season in 11/12 failed abysmally by finishing a comfortable last in their group against Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiacos. They also did badly in the EL the season before finishing third in the GS to Sevilla and PSG. Atletico on the other hand, already won a EL title in the most convincing fashion possible (13 consecutive victories if I am not mistaken) under Simeone, and are now one win away from winning the CL in their first season in the competition.
 
Delighted for Atletico. Hope they win the CL too, though that will end their record of being the only team with more World Club titles than Continental titles.

A barrier collapsed during the Osasuna Betis game, just after Osasuna scored - they had to stop the match for half an hour. They're reporting that the injured have been taken to hospital. About 25 people injured, some left on stretchers. No official word on how serious the injuries are, but initial reports are that they're OK.

All the relegation games have had the starts of the second half delayed so they can kick-off simultaneously (in about 5 minutes from now)

I still need a reasonable explanation for, what happens to the Atletico players who leaves this summer? They don't get to enjoy lifting the trophy at all? This is doing my head in!

The biggest worry at the ground appeared to be over a fan who was having trouble breathing. The medical crew were worried it was a crush injury or a heart attack - but they now think the fan's OK. Maybe some broken bones in there as well. 5 fans described as stretcher wounded, 20 as minor injuries.

It was all dealt with very fast. They pulled fans onto the pitch to clear a route for the First Aiders. Some of the players, particularly it seemed the Betis ones, joined the evacuation crews as soon as they realised where the emergency workers were taking people.
 
Absolute farce on the trophy debacle.

I also love it that Messi's goal may have been legit, considering all the favorable decisions they've received over the years.

Whether Celtic and Rangers had 5x I have no idea but they certainly had considerably more throughout the Aberdeen glory years (1980- 1990).
Aberdeen's achievements were and are still underrated.

Spanish football is shite, full of diving cheating fannies.
 
This whole trophy thing is an absolute disgrace, to be perfectly honest.
 
It'll be an anti climax receiving it in August. This should be a record of their achievement and all staff should get the chance to lift the trophy. Some won't be there by the start of next season

Aberdeen won 3 titles in the eighties Dundee Utd once.

Celtic and Rangers have won more than 40 titles each, next come Aberdeen and Hearts with 4 each.
Aberdeen's achievement in my opinion was greater than Atletico Madrid's now, not that I expect many on here to agree.

Weren't Atletico Madrid successful in the 70's?, guess they have won a few titles in their history.

Its true that atletico won trophies before. Atletico are a big club. They have been underachieving for years when they weren't getting into the top 4. They were very badly managed and their owners don't run the club as well as they should. I never said that atleticos achievement was better than aberdeens. I wasn't even born then so I wouldn't comment.
 
How many Barca players would have been in if they won the league?

A case could be made for modric but the midfielders there are also justified but I think leaving messi out is crazy as even though he is not playing at his best he is still playing at a higher level than most players and his goalscoring record in the league is better than costa when it comes to goals per game. That said marca is a Madrid based paper. I also don't like it when these teams of the seasons play people out of position like Ronaldo up front and gabi out on the wing when he is more of a defensive midfielder as it is basically a way of jamming names in there even though the team probably wouldn't work so well in real life. I wouldn't argue with the backline or goalkeeper.

R.E. The Marca part, it is a Madrid based paper, but that line-up is the LFP's team of the year, not theirs. So I don't think it's to do with Madrid bias that the team is like that.

I'd have Miranda over Godín personally (though they were a great partnership all year), and players like Modric/Griezmann/di María etc. all have claims, but all the players listed have had great seasons too so it's a tough one.

So he went looking for the fifth in the final 15 minutes against Getafe. There was just one problem with the plan: the referee Pérez Montero was wise to it. Ramos committed five fouls and those were the ones that were given; there were as many again that weren’t. However hard Ramos tried – and he tried pretty hard, handballing and kicking and pushing and protesting and flying in, getting wilder with every one, a mental soundtrack of cymbal crashes accompanying each tackle – Montero stubbornly, and comically, refused to pull out the card. When the whistle went, the best man had won and covering his mouth to avoid the lip-readers, close to breaking into a giggle, Ramos could only offer his hand and his congratulations. Well played.
